I was shocked to see Karyn, since I thought she would be the last person mom would choose to babysit Sarah and I. True, she did some positive traits such as being aware that neither Sarah or myself were the kids we appeared, but I thought the negatives far outweighed the positives. For one, I suspected she would accelerate my metamorphosis into a girly little girl, which admittingly wouldn't be too difficult, and I knew she would definitely push Sarah further down the path she was on. The hate between the two was just that strong, no matter what changes that happen to them both. I turned to Sarah, and already she had that angry death glare starting to form, then to mom. It surprised me; she seemed to the surprised to see Karyn. It hit me; Karyn wasn't here to be our babysitter. Then why was she here?
"We need to talk" mom said.
"Not happening, mom. You're not leaving us with that.. bitch. Look what she has done to us?! Besides, look at her! Annie is smarter than her, and she's six!" Sarah objected. I had a slight smile at the comment, though i didn't feel smarter than even the bimbofied girl in front of me. I knew one thing though; letting Karyn babysit us would be disastrous. Even if she and Sarah didn't start world war three, the best cause result would be them trashing the house to find the stone.
"Like I want to be near you, you little brat" Karyn snapped, her eyes focused on Sarah. "Least the stone did something right."
"Right? I.." Sarah started, but mom cut her off. "I need someone to look after you two, and since you're already here, Karyn.."
Karyn paused, her eyes resuming that vacant look. "Why would you want me to?" she asked, hesitantly. She knew all the bad blood, though she did give a slight smirk as she eyed me.
"Because I have find someone if you don't" mom said, as she lead Karyn outside, closing the door, so neither Sarah or I could hear. After a couple of minutes, she reopened the door and lead Karyn inside, much to our dismay. I couldn't believe it; mom was going to leave us with Karyn. The same Karyn that wrecked all of our lives, while inadvertently turning herself into a vapid ditz.
"Girls. I expect you to behave" mom demanded.
"I can't believe you're doing this to me, mommy" I whined. Normally, I would be mortified by that little slip, but I didn't care, and Sarah was too fuming to notice. Karyn did, causing a little smirk. Mom noticed too.
"Joanna. Don't try and play that card" mom ordered. i blinked. Did she really think I was trying to be emotionally manipulative? Rather than my brain being regressed along with my body? I've left Karyn some money for pizza. I've also told her that I've hidden the stone in a very safe place. I expect this pace to be standing when I get back. Understood?"
I muttered a curt reply, while Sarah didn't say anything at all. Instead, she just glared. Both at mom, and Karyn. Once mom had left, Karyn turned to Sarah. "So, Sarah. What are you now? Like 10 or something? I think it suits you."
"Suit up, you brainless bimbo. What are you going to do? Get your boyfriend here?" Sarah snapped. We both knew before her wishes, Karyn was single.
"What? Jealous, little girl?" Karyn smirked, deliberately thrusting her breasts up, in a way to say' look at what you lost'. Sarah couldn't take it any further. She teared up, and rushed to her room, leaving me alone with Karyn.
"That was uncalled for" I said.
"Really? The first thing you've said since fleeing me room in that St Mary uniform is to defend that bitch?"
"Well, yeah. So how are you going to make fun of me?"
Karyn smiled, bemused, life returning to her vacant stare that seemed to have. "Plenty of ways, Princess, but I'm like guessing you're doing it on. um.. instinct."
