(A/N: I am not sure what to call this story, title is placeholder, maybe? If anyone has any suggestion, am open to it)

So I was once again looking for a job after being fired, with the usual corpo "it's not you it's us" as I like to call it - or in other words, "due to economic reasons, we can't keep you here, the market is too competitive, have to lower costs" and so on. But anyway, like I was saying, I am once again on the market, job market I mean (altough if I mention the market in terms of relationship, pretty sure I would classify as expired, being 31 years old).

Today was just like any other day so far, I've been constantly switching between my usual tabs: Twitter (never calling it X, fuck off EM), YouTube and LinkedIn. Yes, I know LinkedIn is such a shithole, but it is honestly the best place to look work for me, what being in IT, it is far easier there than any of the many different job pages (in my experience those always require an account to see the job offer, then when trying to apply redirects you to yet another job page in another website, and then a third time). As I already had updated my CV with the project portfolio of all the things I've done, I wrote a small post with all the niceties possible, and posted a link to my CV, hopefully something will come of it.

It was around 6PM when I decided to check LinkedIn from my phone to see if there's any job offer or any new mail when I stopped when I saw something: it was not my profile. What. The. Fuck? Okay, so I entered "my" profile and plain to see there, a woman picture in some elegant dress (probably from graduating university?), happy smile, nice hair-do too, but my name was still there. As far I know I have not been hacked, so what the hell? Thankfully I had folder with my photo on the phone so I changed the photo, saved and then it was alright again.

Two hours later I checked again from my computer, and I froze. Again, same woman's picture as avatar, and when I got into the profile, the name was also different, along with some other information too. Pretty sure I did not go to that university, nor am from that city. I tried to remember, did I get blackout drunk and in that drunkess get super powerful hacking skills to hack some woman's profile and leave it open? Well, considering that a, I have not drank anything in like, the past two years since I barely touch the stuff now, and b, I have never, ever had hacking skills, I can discard the theory. I shrugged, unlogged, erased any cookies, history, whatever, and logged again. To my (non) surprise, it was again the woman's profile. Muttering some not nice things, I did the same again, and as slow as I can, I typed the mail, rechecked, and then password to log, and nope, still the same. I recalled the personal URL I had for my profile: /jrmoore and typed it, finding again with the same thing, a profile for Jennifer Rose Moore - when it should be my photo and name, John Ryan Moore.

I logged off, already having a headache, hoping that somehow this is fixed tomorrow, because if not, well, I guess Ill have to make a new profile because I can't use that woman's to post my own CV after all. Looking at the time, and not feeling up to do anything else for the night, I went to sleep.

Unknown to me at the time, my slighty short hair lightened a few shades during the night.
