Mollie took Karyn out to the yard, and, having found a tennis ball, started a game of catch...the two of them throwing the ball back and forth.
Biff might not have opted to participate, but he enjoyed watching Mollie flex to catch the ball, especially since Karyn was throwing it somewhat wildly.
Jon and Sarah crossed the patio, wearing their bathing suits and sandals and joined Laura and Lucy. "You both look great," Laura said.
Jon blushed a bit. "Thanks...I was feeling a bit self-conscious, but Sarah gave me a bit of a pep talk."
"I'll be right back, I want to check on things," Sarah said, walking over to where Robert was setting up. "Are things almost ready?" She asked him. "The Gibsons have been here for nearly half an hour already."
"Oui, Madame..." Robert said. "I must make one more trip," he said.
"And if you could bring over some drinks for Jon Gibson and I."
He nodded, and took the cart back to the kitchen. It wasn't his fault they arrived earlier than he'd been told. As he walked past Biff, who was watching Mollie and Karyn play catch, he got stopped. "Can you grab me some raspberry ice tea?"
"Yes, Miss Biff," Robert said, heading toward the kitchen. Work work work...he barely had time to think of anything else.
Robert returned with the cart, and then poured several glasses and brought them to where Laura, Lucy, Sarah, and Jon sat, and offered one to each. Lucy raised hers. "I hope this becomes a regular event for all of us," she said. They all drank. "And now, let's eat."
They headed toward the food Robert had set up. Jon paused as he passed the man in the maid's outfit. "I'm Jon Gibson," he said, politely.
