Mollie and Biff, having seen that the food wasn't ready, had gone into the den, and found Karyn sitting there playing video games quietly.
Biff, discovering not only were they not alone, but it was Karyn, scowled a bit.
Mollie looked down at her. "Hey," she said. "I'm Mollie, and this is Biff. You're here with the Gibsons?"
Karyn paused the game and looked up, and up... "Yeah...I thought we were going to go swimming," she remarked. "But all I've done is wait..."
Biff didn't seem particularly interested, and pulled out his phone to check a few things.
"Tell you what, buddy, we'll do something with you for a bit..." Mollie said.
"We will?" Biff said. He'd hoped for more...fooling around.
"For a few minutes...until lunch, okay?" Mollie remarked. "Do you like to play ball?" She asked Karyn.
"I guess..." Karyn said.
Biff thought Mollie was the sweetest sort...but he wasn't happy that she'd decided to include someone else in what could have been their alone time.
