The black girl's eyes went wide. "H-how do you know about that? Wait, did Karyn tell you? You said you were friends with her now," she said, then suddenly became more suspicious. "Is that why you're friendly with her now? Because she told you about the stone? Or did you spy on her and figure it out?" She knew that she should be doing her best to comfort her sister right now, considering what Steve did, but the wishing stone took precedence.
"I ... no, nothing like that happened," Myka said. "I already knew about it. I can't get into it all right now, but I used the stone to make a wish and now it's out-of-control."
"You made a wish? When?" Zendaya asked, confused.
"This morning. Then again later in the day."
"That's impossible. I've had the stone with me all day. See?" she said, taking it out of her purse.
Myka looked at it. It looked exactly like the same stone. She grabbed for it.
Zendaya pulled it back. "No..." She said, firmly. "Tell me what happened..."
"I found the stone...and everything has changed," Myka whispered.
"And...whatever wish you made...it's why I don't remember letting it out of my sight?" She paused. "Myka...what have you done?"
"Everything is...different. Mom and Dad are divorced? We live in a different house...You said I called Karyn a loser...Why did I do that? Who AM I?"
Zendaya looked at her. "You're my sister," she said, fiercely. "You're the star player on the softball team...one of the most popular girls in school. And...you have a new boyfriend every week."
