"Fine," Karyn said in annoyance. "Now can we just get to class, please, before we get into even more trouble?"
"Uh, okay. But I'm not sure which class I have this period," Myka said.
"What are you talking about? We both have the same class," Karyn said.
The same class? Well, that was convenient. Myka followed Karyn into a nearby classroom, where a class was already in progress. It was, in fact, almost half over.
"Sorry we're late," Karyn said. "We had ... an emergency. Miss Ferguson can tell you more about it," she told the teacher.
The teacher nodded, then allowed Karyn and Myka to take their seats. Myka listened to the teacher talk, then realized that she didn't have any of her books with her. She forgot to stop off at her locker on the way here, but who even knew where that was, since she was no longer a Freshman. Though now that she thought about it, she didn't actually know where her original locker was either, as she had been rushed from the main office to PE class before she could ascertain any of that.
"Ahem," the teacher uttered, catching Myka's attention. "Please pay attention, Miss Gibson," the teacher said, then went back to speaking to the class.
"Usually I get that kind of treatment," came the voice of Gena.
Myka turned and realized that her sister was in this class. They were both taking Poetry? Sitting to Gena's right was a weird-looking Goth girl in silver latex. She didn't look like any of Zoe's friends. Was that someone who had changed as well?
"One bad thing about this class is having to take it with your twin sister. Am I right?" said Karyn, who was seated behind Myka.
Wait ... twin sister? She looked at Gena, noticing that she seemed a little different than the last time she saw her. Her breasts were bigger and she had more curves. But she seemed to be trying to downplay her good natural looks by dressing up as a Goth. Looking down at herself, Myka determined that her own breasts (that was still weird to think) were the same size as Gena's (a D-cup). In fact, everything she could see about herself did lead her to believe that they had the same exact body. So they were twins, even having the same blonde hair (though Gena dyed hers black). But that meant that they were both 17, right? That meant that Myka was now a Junior. It was spring. In the fall, she'd be a Senior. A little over a year from now, she'd be heading off to college! Just that morning, she was 10! Just think of all the lost experiences, not to mention the fact that she was now a girl instead of a boy, meaning even if she hadn't gotten older that fast, her experiences would be vastly different, just because of the gender change.
"Miss Gibson. I won't tell you again. Please pay attention," the teacher admonished her again. This time, Myka made sure she kept her eyes on the teacher, but her thoughts were still on how much she had changed that day. How so many others had changed that day, just because she (as Mikey) wanted to play a prank on her brother Jon.
