That night laying in bed Karyn's thoughts ran to Jon, his stone and her wish. She couldn't not notice the effect the change to her chest had had on him, she saw the astonishment, but it was also mixed with something else. Which also led her to thinking about times throughout highschool...
She thought about the change to her chest, her hair.
Thoughts about the stone, the power it contained, what could be done with it, both to her and by her. She trusted Jon, that he wouldn't do anything to her, but the fact that he could... and she would never know...
She thought about what he might wish even without her there...
She thought about what she would wish.
Her thoughts spun 'round and 'round and she eventually drifted off to sleep.
Jon too thought as he was trying to sleep, about Karyn, her accidental wish, and he tried not to think too much about her chest. He worried about what might happen in the future with wishes made, unintended effects, more accidents.
Eventually he too drifted off to sleep.
The next day the met up on the wall as promised, Karyn was disappointed when Jon revealed he did not have the stone with him. After some chatting about the day she suggested they hang out a Jon's house for a while. As they walked discussion turned to her wish, and some possible ways out, neither of them felt confident in any of their ideas so the conversation lulled until they arrived and went up to Jon's room.
They both started doing some homework, Karyn had some trouble concentrating and fidgeted. Eventually she said "Hey, Jon-boy, can I have the stone for a moment?"
"What... what for?"
"Nothing permanent, I just want to try something."
"Ok, I guess, just put it back in the box as soon as you're done wishing." He went and got the box out of a drawer and handed it to Karyn.
She took it, opened the box, hesitated for a moment, and took it out of the box, held it tightly in one hand and said "I wish that Jon would answer my next 5 questions honestly and to the best of his ability."
