While the majority of people at the party were inside of the house, the pool was left empty with no one around. To most, this statement wouldn’t be that important but for one particular person this was exactly what they’d been waiting for.
X-Change was a new drug that was designed to allow people to change their gender with a simple pill. Most of the time, these drugs were used by those who were battling with their gender identity or for people that simply wanted to experience life from the eyes of another gender. Depending on the dosage and pill, the drug was effective for a certain amount of time. Low dosage pills would last only a few hours while higher ones could last years and even could become permanent.
When X-Change hit the market, the original design and purpose sort of got lost as some people found other ways of using the drug. In the case of John’s 4th of July party, someone had some X-Change pills with some devilish ideas. The pool was unprotected which was perfect as the mystery person used it as an opportunity to spike the pool. This person grabbed a handful of pills and tossed them into the water. Immediately, the pills began to break down and infect the water. In a matter of seconds, the pills were no longer visible as the water looked barely different from before. The mystery person was satisfied with this as they walked away, grinning ear to ear.
