"Don't waste your time asking her." Kendall said turning her back to Michelle. "I mean look at her costume." Kendall glared up at Meg. "We only invited her because she's our flatmate." Kendall looked back at Michelle. "I'm done with this you stupid bimbo. Let's go." Kendall motioned for her friends to follow her.
Meg stood there and watched as the three girls walked away. "Sorry... I'm not really their friend... They ran off their last flatmate and I got assigned to their flat..." Meg paused and looked down at Michelle who had a dumb smile on her face. "They shouldn't have said that stuff to you." Meg patted Michelle on her shoulder.
"Are you gonna answer?" Michelle asked in an eager tone. "How would you make my costume more better?!?!?!"
"You're not phased at all are you?" Michelle shook her head no. "But they were so mean..." Michelle shrugged and Meg let out a sigh. "You poor thing." Realizing that Michelle really was just some dumb bimbo, Meg let out another sigh. "Well if you want my honest opinion." Michelle began to eagerly nod yes. "Your costume would be better if you had a healthy amount of self respect and..." Meg paused as she tried to find the right phrasing. "And... and you had worked harder in school to overcome your shortcomings, so that your costume would have been a bit more creative than um... just... um... sexy sexy." Meg grimaced as she looked down at Michelle who seemed confused by her words. "Sorry I didn't mean to insinuate that you were dumb or be mean. It's just... Well..." Meg paused and awkwardly starred at Michelle whose brain was currently being rewired.
"Me care about grades?" Michelle's inner monologue asked. "Grades are for ner..." The warm fuzziness that had been clouding Michelle's brain began to fade. "Me did care about grades..." In Michelle's head the number 2.9 popped up. "I had like almost a straight B GPA..." The fuzzy memories that had been clouding her mind quickly morphed and came into focus. "I mean, I'm like not a genius. But all things considered..." Michelle could remember working quite hard for her modest grades. "I did pretty good for someone who had to work as hard as I did..." As Michelle studied her new memories her purple dress split in two. The top portion of the dress turned black and the material thickened as it morphed into a long sleeve cropped turtle neck. The bottom portion of the dress became tan wrapped around her thick legs. While Michelle continued to sort through her new memories, a brown belt looped through the waist of her newly formed baggy cargo pants.
"Are you alright?" Meg asked.
"Yeah." Michelle snapped out of her thoughts. "Like, yeah I'm fine." Michelle said locking eyes with Meg. "O my god she just saved me!" With the fog of stupidity lifted from her brain Michelle was able to remember the Meg's roommate's suggestions. "Thank you." Michelle said, as she resisted the urge to hug Meg. "Thank you for being honest with me about my costume."
"No problem." Meg said awkwardly. "I'm glad I could help. It's a really good Kim Possible costume." Meg awkwardly smiled at Michelle and turned her attention to her lab coat. "I'm dressed as Professor Utonium." She awkwardly stuck her hands in the pockets of her lab coat. "I was going to go as Him, but they..." Meg pointed towards her three flatmates. "Vetoed that idea." Meg let out a sigh. "They are not the best roommates... Do you go to State too?"
"Do I go to state? Am I a college student?" Michelle asked herself as she began to shuffle through muddled and mixed up memories. "Um... No... I'm... I'm..." Then the answer popped up clear as can be in Michelle's brain. "No I graduated a couple years ago. I only got an associates degree DDCC and became a dental hygienist." Michelle said smiling at the taller Meg.
"O cool. I'm pre-dentistry! Maybe you could work for my practice some day!" Meg said with a nerdy chuckle. "I mean assuming everything works out."
"Yeah totally! Like that sounds super fun!" Michelle paused and chastised herself for letting a bit of her bimbo-side leak out. "You can do better than that." Michelle mentally scolded herself. "You didn't work your butt off just to act like some dumb bimbo." Michelle awkwardly looked around the party as she tamped back down her bimbo side. "If you ever do open your own practice I would love to work for you. The way you tolerate your roommates tells me you would make a great dentist. You need patience and patients after all!"
Meg let out an awkward laugh at Michelle's joke. "I absolutely will!"
"Meg! Come on!" Kendall barked.
"Hey before you leave. Hit me up on Instagram. Like I'm serious." Michelle paused to remember her handle. "I go by MTheRedHygienist8008." Michelle cringed internally at the breast reference in her handle. "I'm serious about working for you one day."
"I'll add you in a few." Meg said pulling out her phone as she walked over to her flat-mates.
"Thanks babe!" Michelle said as Meg disappeared into the crowd.
