"Are you guys ready to begin?" Tino asked the class as he stepped out from behind the podium. The chatter from the students in the auditorium quieted to a murmur. "Alright. Today we'll be learning about The Curse of Query and Council." Tino extended his pointer and tapped the title of presentation on the projector screen. "The Curse of Query and Council can be used as a curse, or a hex, and is fairly mid when used by itself." Tino tapped the space bar on his laptop to jump to the next slide. "The curse is fairly simple." Tino turned to read off the one line summary on the screen. "The actuality of the blighted becomes malleable by the council of their peers." Tino turn back to the auditorium. "What that means is the reality of the blighted individual is now subject to the suggestions or advice of their peers." Tino clicked forward to the next slide. "The Curse of Query and Council has two main criteria. The query and the duration. At this point in the semester I shouldn't need to explain duration, so we'll focus on query."

Tino reached back and clicked forward to the next slide. "Think of the query as the category of question that the curse will act on. For example..." Tino walked up to a student in the front row. "Let's say I use the curse on Alex, and for whatever reason Alex has made fun of the way I dress." Tino motioned towards his plain white t-shirt. "Well as a way of getting back I could set the query of the curse to only act when Alex asks someone a question about her clothing." A few students began to chatter amongst themselves as Tino walked back to the projector. "Again the curse alone is fairly mild by itself. Alex could easily avoid the curse by not asking anyone how her clothes look. Without any questions there will be no answers to trigger the curse, and Alex can go on about her life without any worries. BUT!" Tino held up his hand. "Let's say the curse is working in tandem with a hex that causes Alex to uncontrollably ask people about her clothing. Well then each person's suggestions will become Alex's reality with minimal impact to the rest of the world." Tino walked back over to Alex. "So if she had asked me what I think of her dress and my response was, "you look about 3 feet too tall for it." Alex would grow to be 3 feet too tall for the dress." The class chuckled at the thought of an 8 foot tall Alex.

Tino returned to the podium. "So you guys get the idea behind the curse? The curse will only act on questions within a designated category, and it will in turn make those suggestions and comments become reality for the blighted individual." Tino click forward to the next slide. "There are a few limitations." Tino said tapping the title of the slide with his pointer. "The curse can only be activated once per person. So your victim won't be able to find a friend and continuously change themselves by peppering their friend with questions." Tino tapped the next item on the Curse Confines list. "The only people who will be aware of the changes made to reality are you, and the blighted individual. Though, the blighted will likely struggle keep track of all of the changes to their reality if the changes occur rapidly or if the changes are quite substantial." Tino turned back to the class. "Now let's move on to the ingredients that we need for this curse...."
