At the same time Jon made his wish, Karyn was handling chores. In the background, Retro TV was on. Retro TV was one of these stations that showed classic TV. Karyn's Mom Bethany was a single mom. The difference being that Jon's mother being single was a relatively recent development, and Karyn's was not.

It was why she sometimes enjoyed the guilty pleasure of classic TV. As the only child of a single parent, she wondered what it would be like to have siblings, or two parents. She loved her mother, but Bethany often had to work odd hours to support the two of them, which put a strain on things.

It wasn't something she seriously expected to happen, but..sometimes she wished that she could have that sort of interesting life. While she knew about the stone and had learned enough not to make wishes around it, little did she know that a Jon wish had granted her daydreaming wish as its way of making things interesting.

"Cut..." A voice suddenly yelled.

Karyn whirled around to see a woman standing there, in front of a door that...well, hadn't been there before. "This just isn't working," the woman said.

"What isn't working? Who are you?"

"Kate..I'm the new showrunner," the woman said. "The studio had some notes...and you know how that is...they saw the pilot. They liked some stuff, but they hated others...but they've commissioned a second pilot...so, we have a chance."

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"The studio wants you to step into the lead. They want to build everything around you."

"What studio?"

"Wish Studios, of course. Don't you know our slogan? Wish for Something Interesting."

"That slogan stinks..."

"Well, I didn't come up with it. But...I got hired to revamp this thing around you and make it a hit. With your help, of course. I'm not sure how you negotiated a producer credit, but...so much more the power to you. We have a lot of work to do..."
