John picked up his wallet, phone and keys, then looked for pockets in the short dress. Sara laughed out loud, "There are almost never pockets in dresses Dad. You are going to need a clutch or purse if you want to take anything with you." Sara held up her small, sparkly purse. John took a deep breath and took the purse from his daughter. After placing his items into the thing, he put it over his shoulder.
"Thankfully, you don't need to take much. You aren't doing makeup and you won't need tampons." John pushed the other possible objects out of his mind.
Sara and John left the condo, with Sara holding the door on the way out. John got behind the wheel of his truck and put in the keys. He had to adjust his mirrors and seat after starting up the vehicle.
"What the hell? Just what I needed..." muttered John as seat belt nestles itself into his cleavage.
"I know that problem. You get used to it," offered Sara
"I don't want to get used to it," replied John as he felt the belt press on one breast as he turned around to back out. He drove to the restaurant while Sara asked questions about how he felt about a female driver and if he noticed the looks the other drivers to throwing at him. John chose not to respond, but did catch some guys in other cars staring at him. One made a gesture referencing his breasts. He couldn't wait to get his body back.
Pulling into the market, John had to climb out of the truck. He locked it up after Sara got out. She passed him the purse, "you may need your phone." John took the thing and started to stomp to the stalls. He felt the hem of the dress touch him midthigh with each stride, and sometimes tried to pull the dress down. His breasts almost popped out from his walking and pulling, so he slowed down.
"Having trouble there Cleo? I warned you."
"I'm fine, now let's get this over with," responded John as they go to the first vendor. They tried the honey, but moved along. They went to about 15 stalls with various wares, such as cheese, knit items, crafts and candles. All of them smiled at John, and the candle sellers seemed more pushy than usual. When he tried to talk to the woodworkers, they did not seem interested in talking tools, but tried to make the sale. A few of the patrons and vendors stared at his chest rather than his face. Once a vendor recommended that Sara buy a ring for his girlfriend, John turned to Sara and insisted they leave, which they did.
When they got to the car, Sara asked, "so, was it the girlfriend comment that did it?"
"I was just getting overheated, hungry and probably need a cigarette," replied John curtly. John didn't say anything else the rest of the trip to the restaurant. When they got to the restaurant John was met by the maitre d.
"Miss, good evening. Do you have a reservation?"
"We do. It is under John, for 2."
"I see it here, sir. Please, come this way" The host brought them to a table and pulled out the chair for John, who sat promptly. Sara took the seat across from John. They were given menus, and John decided on the steak. After Sara put away her menu, she asked her father, "so, please let me know how this is different so far than usual for you."
"Are you kidding me? So far, I have had to dress up, but did not have pockets, drive while being stared at by other guys and then be called miss on arrival. So, basically everything."
"I know what you mean. Everything you said is the opposite for me. It was nice having pockets. Are you finding it cold in here?"
"A little in this dress, why?"
"No reason, just a hunch," replied Sara noting her father's pokies. The waiter came to take their order. John took out his phone, "only 3 hours left until I get back to myself."
"About that... You won't be able to change back tonight."
