"I know Anna must be nervous since its her first time" Melissa continued.
"Yeah.." Sarah added, but I could tell she was just as confused as me, and that she was playing along. It was that Sarah was much better at it; when i played along, it made me seem that I was just some ditzy airhead. The thought made me scowl.
"Want to help her get into her uniform?" Melissa asked. She paused, noticing my scowl. "Hey. Its just that you're not used to the details, Anna. We want to match.."
I blinked, confused and annoyed. If I wasn't wearing the cheer uniform, or at least the skirt part, what was I wearing. Feigning that I had dropped something, I leaned over, as looked down to see I was in a longer, dark blue skirt. I froze, recognizing it as that of St Marys, though it was one that belonged to a senior girl,. Plus I was in black mary janes which matched my long white over the knee socks. Crap! Not again...I sat up again, wondering what was going on, and whether I would vanish, or teleport or something. I also felt like a fool, that assuming skirt at the cheer table meant cheerleader. obviously, I was a cheerleader, but from another school.
"Sarah" I said weakly, showing my unease.
"I'll help once we finish our lunch" Sarah said, not noticing. I gulped, and watched her eat her salad, while I picked at at my own. Least at first. I wasn't too hungry after seeing my new clothes, and since Sarah stopped eating halfway, she must had seen something too. Not a good sign. I looked down and saw I now had a bow on Sarah's ugly white blouse, completing my change back into a St Mary girl. Apart from my male assets that was still there, though I figured they wouldn't for long. i got up, alarmed, but none of the other girls, apart from Sarah seemed too concerned about my clothes, which they could clearly see. Instead, they seemed to had expected it. Sarah clearly was worried, but none of the others noticed her, since they were so focused on me. i knew she was worried that she would change herself, and join me in all-girl school hell.
:Thanks for coming, Annie" Amber gushed. "I know it'll feel strange, but we're down one member..."
"Hey! Its not my fault! You know my parents think cheerleaders are demons with pom-poms" Nadine protested. I couldn't help but smirk at that; she would had been right a week ago.
Amber rolled her eyes. "I guess us cheering against Hellstone and the 'demons' wouldn't help things.."
I paused. Hellstone... that's Linda's and by extension the new Marie's new home. No wonder Zoe would pull some strings and 'lend' me to Lake Point Assuming she knew. I grabbed my bag, which hadn't been there before, and headed for the exit. Sarah followed. She was as nervous as me, as she lead me towards the locker room. Everything seemed to be closing in on me, and it didn't help that we caught a lot of looks from the boys as we passed. I could tell they were checking me out, more than they were Sarah. Once we were in, and sure we were alone, I felt safe enough to talk openly.
"They were looking at me" I said sourly.
"I know" Sarah growled. "Sorry" I blinked, then remembered. From her perspective, I was her transformed little sister and that she was balancing that against jealousy of not being the primary source of attention.
"Its okay, sis. I'm more worried about mom. She is going to kill us when she finds out" I said.
"She'll kill me. I just hope I don't end up like you" Sarah pouted, staring at my uniform. I knew she meant the whole St Mary's thing. I also knew it meant it would push me strongly back towards femineity and being Anna.
"Do you think she knows?" I asked.
"I hope not. There are a lot of weird things that stone is responsible for and I don't want to know. Like why I'm here and you're at St Mary's" Sarah said, motioning me to get out of my uniform. I did, and allowed Sarah to dress me in the spare cheer uniform she had.
"You're the better cheerleader, and guess you've gone where the pom poms are" I guessed, not wanting to shift Sarah onto the same path as myself.
Sarah couldn't help but smile. "Thanks. Now hold still, sis, while I get the makeup right. We're twins, least for now, so we have to look perfect" she said, focusing on me. Five minutes later, she had finished and I was stunned.; my body still had some minor shifting to do, but I clearly looked like Sarah's sister. The only real difference was hair style, and I was clearly a flyer.
