Mackenzie walked confidently down the halls of Lakeview Academy for her second day of school, smiling at a few of her new friends/acquaintances as she made her way towards homeroom. Today she wore a red and black pleated plaid mini skirt and a tight thin black v neck sweater with long sleeves; she considered leggings but ultimately decided to show off her legs a bit, a bit gleeful over having a body worth showing off. A minor amount of vanity was built in to Mackenzie's personality matrix, tied in with her high self confidence, but it was being fed a bit by her Jon memories, or rather, wanting to embrace being Mackenzie to the fullest. A pair of black knee high boots with a 3 inch heels, and a chain handled black leather purse completed the outfit. For jewelry she'd worn her favorite gilded shark tooth necklace again, silver mini hoops in her upper piercings and a delicate pair of diamond drop earrings she'd borrowed from her mum in her lobes, and a silver celtic knot ring on her right pointer. All in all, it wasn't quite as bold as the previous day's outfit, but she felt good in it. Confident.

"Oh my god, I love those earrings," Melissa declared as soon as Mackenzie arrived at homeroom.

Mackenzie grinned mischievously, "thanks, don't tell my mum I nicked them." She was mostly joking; Mackenzie had been treating her Mum's closet as an extension of her own basically since she was tall enough to fit most of it, and Charlotte was totally okay with it most of the time. That said if Mackenzie lost the earrings, she'd be in for a very long speech about responsibility. Mackenzie took the same seat as the previous day, finding herself easily slipping into the friend group.

"It must be nice having a mom with good taste. If my mother's not in court you can't drag her out of jeans and a tee shirt," Vivian huffed good naturedly. Her mom, Isabella Wright could absolutely rock a skirt suit when she needed to, but otherwise didn't share her daughter's flare for fashion.

"Speaking of your mum," Elizabeth interjected, "apparently my brother's a massive fan of her show. I mentioned you to him and he had the sheer pluck to ask me to get him an autograph." That elicited a laugh from all four of them, though it was actually a situation not at all unfamiliar to Mackenzie. As one of Australia's biggest Olympic winners in decades, she was something of a national hero and Kenzie had dealt with autograph requests for years.

Conversation soon turned to their plans for Friday, luckily being able to confirm Melissa could come with them. They'd meet at Vivian's and take her car to the mall from some shopping and dinner; once again Makenzie was amazed at how easily she was making friends. Well, sort of; if she focused only on her Makenzie memories none of it was out of the ordinary, but it certainly felt that way once Jon's memories were taken into account. Jon had pretty much one friend, Karyn, and even then it had taken months of knowing her before they hung out outside of class, where as things were going much faster with Viv, Elizabeth and Melissa.

Eventually though they had to quiet down as Ms. Finley called roll. "I want to remind everyone that we'll be having a club fair after school next Monday, so be sure to stick around to find out about some extracurriculars you might be interested in," the teacher announced after finishing taking attendance. The thought was unexpectedly exciting for Mackenzie. As Jon she'd never really gotten involved in anything, but now it seemed like it could be fun. She didn't want to become like Lily Vanderfield, part of so many clubs and organizations that she pretty much never had a free minute, but unlike Jon, Mackenzie didn't want to totally avoid it. She was even considering joining a sports team to give her a chance to compete while burning off her excess energy. One unfortunate thing about moving to Lakeview was being to far from the beach to indulge in her usual preferred exercise of surfing.

'Or maybe I'll be joining the debate team,' Mackenzie thought wryly as Vivian made her pitch for the Aussie to join her chosen club while the two made their way towards first period. She didn't yet know that her choice of after-school activities was going to end up being out of her hands, if she wanted to protect the new life she was building.
