Sarah didn't respond, looking at herself in the mirror.
"Sarah..." Rebecca said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "It is going to be all right..."
Finally, Sarah seemed to steel herself, and turned to Rebecca Fine. "Get out of my house," she said. She seemed utterly calm. "I don't want to see you here again."
Rebecca seemed surprised. "Sarah..."
"We aren't on a first name basis," Sarah told her.
"I wasn't trying to upset you...I honestly am trying to help."
The three started to move toward the door. "Abby...I didn't ask you two to leave. Only her," Sarah said.
Abby seemed a bit surprised.
Rebecca Fine left, but not before putting her business card on the table by the door.
"I am going back to my company," Sarah said. She looked at the Andrews. "Why don't you come and say hello? I think you know some of them."
"What...just happened?" Abby asked her.
"I don't trust that woman...she has a look in her eyes..."
"She seemed very nice," Abby said.
"Trust me...I am not against help...but I promise you...that woman has her own agenda."
Sarah wasn't wrong. Rebecca Fine had questionable ethics and her loyalties were not to her patients first, but to other things...her intellectual curiosity, whoever had recruited her on this project and their orders...
Rebecca Fine walked to the edge of the McMillan Driveway until she was off their property, and made a phone call. "I think we need to meet at the lab. I have some new insights. No...I don't know what is going on...but I think you would like to hear my observations...I also think we need a followup medical exam on two of the subjects..." She headed down the street in the general direction of Lydia Warren's house...where she'd left her car.
Inside, Sarah put on a smile and returned to the party. "Biff...look who is here..." She said.
Biff was sunning himself on a lounge and looked up to see Ethan and Abby.
Abby looked around...seeing Jon Gibson and two others in the hot tub, a kid swimming in the pool, being watched by a male...at least it looked to be. She wondered if the McMillans and the Gibsons were more affected than she and Ethan were.
