When Karyn woke up that morning, she felt out-of-sorts. She looked at herself in the mirror, knowing that the large breasts and long blonde hair that she had now were new, that she was supposed to have smaller breasts and shorter reddish hair. But she just couldn't figure out how it happened. Now that Jon no longer existed, except in the form of Saron, she was never shown the wishing stone, or used it. But her breasts and hair were still the results of a wish (even one from a reality that no longer existed) and couldn't be undone. And because Karyn heard her own wish when she made it, she noticed the change that had taken place, though everyone else, except for Jon (now Saron), thought that Karyn was normally supposed to be that way. It's just that she couldn't remember the stone.
Sighing, Karyn turned away from the mirror and got ready for school. As usual, her best friend Saron would pick her up on her way to school, using the car that her parents had bought her the moment she got her license. Saron was so lucky to have parents that not only supported her transition from male to female, but also used a lot of their own money, connections, and time to make it happen just the way Saron wanted it. It's too bad so many other people in town frowned on transgenderism in general. Karyn wasn't one of those, of course. She had been best friends with Jon McMillan growing up and fully supported his transition when he confessed to her, revealing his true self. They truly were best friends.
