"I know some girls act like little monsters sometimes..." he remarked, his voice going up an octave. "What were you like when you were her age?"
Mikey frowned at him, that seemed odd somehow.
"Do you think she's a bad influence on Linda or something? I think she's just looking for friends," Roger said. He shifted, curling his feet under him on the couch in a casual way.
"You're not listening to me..." Mikey said, getting a bit shrill himself.
"Sorry," Roger said, pausing the program and shutting off the TV.
"Can you just go talk to her? Mikey said.
"Who?"
"Stacy!" Mikey said.
He got a frown from Roger. "Umm...sure?"
"Now?" Mikey insisted.
"Okay, okay..." Roger said, getting up. He took off the sports cap and shook out his long brown shoulder length hair. Mikey gaped. Not him too. "I was freezing earlier, but now I'm boiling," he remarked, starting to pull down the sweatpants.
"No!" Mikey yelled, afraid of what was under them.
