The first day back to school without boobs had been strange for Jon, he felt weird, his chest felt light, things not moving around felt strange. It was a perfectly normal day of classes, but Jon found himself almost as aware of not having boobs as he had been of having them exactly a week ago. He was relieved to not be looked at like a freak by people he passed in the hall, Gym class was far easier without boobs, he didn’t miss the jeers and taunts in the locker room. He didn’t miss the way people looked at him. Still, it felt strange now to not have boobs. To not have a little bounce with every step he took, to not feel a little sway when he stopped turning, he had turned quickly to face a sound and found he braced for a force from his boobs that didn’t come, he had no idea when he had even started doing that.
Karyn for her part spent the day missing her interest in boobs. She wanted to escape boring parts of class by daydreaming about what the guys would look like with boobs, but that wasn’t as much fun now that she didn’t like boobs that way. She still did it… the idea of a world where every guy has boobs was still something she was interested in… in fact it was becoming a bit of an obsession. The previous week had awoken something in her, something she would have been shocked to find herself having any interest in at all before it. She really did think Jon looked good with boobs, independent of her liking them, she imagined Jon still had them. She found herself fantasizing about still being into boobs. It felt weird, to fantasize about being attracted to something that she wasn’t, but she wanted it. She couldn’t get the idea out of her head. She’d had a taste and it wasn’t enough. She considered it unfair that women had to lug boobs around and most of them didn’t even get to enjoy looking at boobs in the way she had for a week. It would be so much more equitable if everyone had boobs and everyone liked boobs. These were the thoughts that filled her idle moments throughout the school day.
At the end of the day Karyn did her now routine lunge hug and kiss to Jon who was waiting at the wall. She missed the feeling of Jon’s bust squishing against her own. It wasn’t as nice, she held herself as close as she could, as she appreciated how much he would enjoy the feeling of her bust pressed against him. After they broke the embrace they started walking to Jon’s house. Chatting about their day along the way. Upon arriving they went up to Jon’s room and started doing homework, still sitting back to back, though the need to avoid distracting Karyn with Jon’s bust had gone, they enjoyed the little bit of physical contact.
After about an hour Jon left the room to use the bathroom, and Karyn was left alone with her thoughts, the box the stone was kept in was right there... She opened it and held the stone. She desperately wanted to bring Jon's breasts back permanently, and her attraction to them, but she couldn't justify wishing for it. She could tell he was deeply uncomfortable being in a minority of men that had breasts, though simply having them hadn't seemed to bother him much until he considered what someone other than Karyn might think about them.
She couldn't wish for all men to have boobs, to begin with the stone's limited range would simply mean that Jon's status as an anomaly would extend to the men in range, but no further. She was also terrified by the idea of how much such a change could change the world from the one she knew, and she didn't want to be stuck in an unfamiliar world. Even if the range was long enough she couldn't even wish for it to 'happen' that all men would grow breasts and women develop an attraction for them, it would cause riots and suicides. She thought it deeply unfair that about half the world couldn't get the enjoyment she had had from seeing breasts, and that most of that half were the ones that had the boobs.
So she sat holding the stone and wanting.
Then she heard the toilet flush and she quickly put it away.
The stone did not have a mind as a human would understand it, but the magical construct that powered it did have a purpose. It was made to fulfill desires, and strong desires such as what Karyn felt were what it was meant for. So Karyn's holding it and ruminating had spurred it into action, to fulfill its purpose and so her desire, it read all the reasons she had for rejecting potential wishes and included them in it's calculations. Calculations that once started would find a satisfying arrangement, and then enact it.
After she put it back in it's box, after she had gone home for the night, when she and Jon were both asleep it flashed.
