Sarah walked down the aisles of the supermarket, trying to pretend she knew what she was doing. The boy, Mikey...she had a hard time with the idea of abandoning him. He seemed so innocent. She just had to pretend that what he...and clearly everyone else seemed to think was true. Namely that she was in charge of him. But his own mother had wandered off, and the woman clearly had no business having a child, especially such a sweet little angel.
She decided that she would have to take care of him. And Sarah, being Sarah, never went half-measure on anything. Sarah looked sweetly at Mikey.
“What would you like for dinner tonight honey?"
“How about pizza?” He asked excitedly. Sarah smiled at him as she wandered over to him and put the box into the trolley.
“OK honey.” She said. They got a few more bits and then headed to the checkout where Sarah started to unload the shopping.
Tiff and Karyn started working on their homework. But Tiff couldn't stop thinking about Jonny. What was going on with him? He was not only the exact sort that wouldn't go out with her, but she wasn't sure she wanted to go out with anyone like him.
"You just answered King George III to a math question," Karyn said.
"Sorry, my mind wandered."
"Well, if you don't want to flunk math..." Karyn said.
Tiff paused. She should definitely focus on math and not on the opposite sex.
