“Don’t forget your purse honey.”
Mikey blinked. Purse? And what did Sarah mean by his purse? Mikey looked around and on the checkout, lying next to the bags of shopping was a white purse with gold buckles that hadn’t been there before. Looking up at Sarah and seeing her nod while smiling at him seemed to indicate that this was the purse that she was talking about.
Begrudgingly, Mikey took the purse. It looked like an older woman’s purse, not one that he had seen similar girls his age use. Intrigued, Mikey opened up the purse and found a small wallet inside. He took it out and opened it up.
Inside the wallet was the usual things that you’d expect; driving license, credit cards, that sort of thing. Mikey took out the driving license and was surprised to find out that it had all of his details on it. Even though he was too young to drive, Mikey somehow had a driving license.
“Oh, honey.” Sarah said, startling Mikey and making him look up. “You don’t have to pay for these. I can get these.”
Mikey wasn’t going to argue with that. He wasn’t even sure that he knew how to pay with a credit card. Mikey put the wallet back in his purse and absentmindedly swung the purse over his shoulder as he waited for Sarah to finish up.
