Tiff was a bit befuddled by Jonny's behavior. The weirdness of it was with her as she finished her day and headed off to meet Karyn outside, at their usual spot and told her the story.

"All cheerleaders are bad news," Karyn told her. "They aren't all bitches, but it's safer to give them a wide berth."

Tiff sighed, and put her hands in her jeans pockets. "I mean, can you imagine me in a pink top and a skirt? Or heels? I'd be asking for someone like Biff to give me a hard time."

"Maybe it is some kind of trick," Karyn suggested. "I don't know. I'd just say forget about it."

"How about we head to your house and get our homework out of the way?" Tiff suggested. "Then we can do something fun after."

Meanwhile, not far off, Jon, or Jonny as everyone had started calling him, stood on the field. Practice hadn't even started as the head cheerleader hadn't even shown up. Jon pouted and folded his arms across his chest. How was he going to finish practice, which he now cared about, and get home to fix this?

“You look so sexy when you pout. Did you know that?” A voice to Jon’s right said. Flinching, Jon turned to see who it was and to his dismay, it was Steve Farber.

“W-what!?” Jon replied, shocked at what he was hearing.

“Hi Steve!” He heard Erika giggle behind him. Jon looked back and saw her waving at Steve, blushing. Turning back to face Steve Jon saw him grin at Erika.

“’Sup babe?” He asked, flirtingly, causing Erika to giggle again.

"We're waiting because our leader can't be bothered to check her phone to see what time it is," Melissa Smith said, annoyed.

“Sorry babe. I only came here to see Jonny.” Melissa rolled her eyes.

“We know.” Erika said frustratedly.

Just then the gym doors opened and in stepped Linda Madison panting. She was dressed in the same uniform as everyone else.

“Sorry, I’m late!”

Melissa stormed up to her.

“Where the hell have you been?” She asked angrily. Linda, having caught her breath, gave Melissa a scowl.

"I forgot my uniform at home and went to get it," Linda said, defensively. "And then this crazy lady started screaming at me."

“We’ve got a game on Friday! We need to be ready.” Melissa nearly shouted.

“I know, I know. Don't forget who is the Head Cheerleader here." Linda walked over to the box where they kept their pompoms and picked up a pair.

"I didn't, did you? If you don't want to be in charge..." Melissa said. "I can take over."

"Yeah, right," Linda said, dismissively. "Let's get down to it."

"Your mom looks great in that uniform.” Steve whispered in Jon’s ear.

“Um, OK” Jon replied, feeling a bit embarrassed.

“Although, not as hot as you.”

Jon looked down at himself and much to his dismay, the gym outfit that he had been wearing had now been replaced with the same uniform that the other girls wore. He really needed to get home before there was none of his things left.
