He decided that the chance for a quick solution was the way to go. After making sure Mr. Fisk had his phone number, and promised to call Nick if he found out anything, Nick headed out into the front of the shop, and paused to gather himself at the door.

Focusing on the outfit he was wearing when he came in, he deliberately opened the shop door and stepped out.

It was now mid lunchtime, and there were plenty of people on the street, most out for lunch from their offices. Nick concentrated on his outfit, which made it difficult to weave through the heavier foot traffic. Once, while waiting at a red light to cross, he was a bit too focused on his jeans, and he felt his top start to melt and shrink away, but just managed to recover in time.

He thought briefly about his plan. Megan was supposed to start a regular work shift at eleven, so she should be out. Fortunately, Nick still had his key. He would sneak in, grab a few small items, like socks or a tank top or something, and then head out back to his own place to wait it out. As long as he remained fully clothed, no one should look twice at 'Megan' going into her own apartment, so there should be no trouble.
