After a few more minutes, a normal stop at a light started to drag on longer than normal, and a moment later the driver partition began to lower. The driver they had met was no longer there, but in his place was some dark-suited guy with sunglasses. At the same time, the side door opened and two large men entered with drawn guns, followed by another, only slightly smaller well-dressed man in his mid-forties. The back was rather crowded now.
"Well, Mr. Sullivan... at last we meet. I decided that perhaps it would be best if you didn't make your appointment with Mr. Solznyck after all."
One of the thug types nodded towards Nick and looked over at his boss inquisitively. "Hmm, sorry that you're bing dragged into this, miss, but I'm afraid you chose the wrong man to ride with."
Mike looked over at him. "No wait, I'm not really Sullivan... he was drunk and couldn't get on the plane so I stole his limo! I have my ID to prove it!"
The man chuckled. "Ya, and I got ID that says I'm Elvis!"
Mike pleaded "look, I'm sure I can prove it! Besides," he said, looking over at Nikki, "she's got nothing to do with it! just a woman I met on the plane, and she's got family waiting for her at the hotel... they'll be worried!"
The well-dressed man looked at him pointedly. "Even if your story was true, do you think I'd let you walk away, Terry? No... we're gonna have a nice chat soon. As for her, it doesn't matter who she is, it's on your head that she's here. But I'll tell you what... if I decide you're being nice and cooperative, I'll make sure my boys treat her with some respect. If not, well, I may forget to remind them." He signalled to his men, and one of them tied and gagged both Nick and Mike while the car drove off.
Nick was worried, this was obviously the event that led to Mike's disappearance, and he could guess where it would end, but was there a way to get out of it?
