Jon grumbled and walked to his room as the rest of his family continued their shoefest. He pushed open the door to his room, to have a pile of books fall on him from the doorway, placed there as a prank. Bitterly ignoring the cackles from the living room, Jon walked over to the mirror over his dresser.

He looked at himself and said, "Well, worse comes to worst I could escape the stones range...maybe then I'd... ... ..."

Jon stopped and stared at his reflection. He turned white, and felt his stomach turn as he stared into pale blue eyes that were in his head, but were not his own. He thought back to his families eyes and hair.

"...She couldn't...well...yes she could have..."

He placed his head in his hand and rubbed his eyes, hoping the blue would just go away.

"Nope still there..." He sighed. "I wonder if getting out of town is going to fix this."

Jon under this extremely absurd and stressful situation began to resort to debating his reflection.

"I could try and reason with Sarah again tomorrow...end this madness once and for all somehow."

"You know that wouldn't work." His reflection said.

"We could try and find help?" Jon retorted, "there are some rumors other people in town are into 'magic' stuff..."

"And the best you'll get from them is probably turned into a ugly toad or some servant for carrying bags around. They all think like Sarah now remember?"

"We could leave town? or steal...something...back...no. I don't know."

The reflection sighed and so did Jon.

He walked over to his bed, and passed out from weariness before he touched the bed covers.
