It was not as simple during the next match. Our all out assault had weakened Jake quite a bit. That did not matter. He was still putting on a good show. Leo was getting as good as he got out there. That was not a good sign at all. When Xavier was trying to get on the apron, Max immediately ran over and yanked him down. Xavier hit his jaw on the apron and fell on the ground in pain. The apron was actually the hardest part of the ring. When the ref was distracted with that, Leo tried to go for a low blow and a pin. He got a 2 count, but Jake managed to kick out. That was upsetting. This was going to be a tough title match at the pay-per-view. Later on in the match, Jake went for a running kick. Leo was able to duck the deadly foot. Jake sailed over him and knocked out the referee. We knew that it was our time to shine. We stormed the ring and beat up Jake. Max was pissed. He was not going to let his best friend get jumped. He got in the ring and was able to take Kodie out of the picture. He was easy to knock over. The rest of us curb stomped him. Rage's locker room came out. Cheers.

Since they were representing the brand, they were the cavalry. They were coming right at us, so we had to get ready. It was the 6 members of Team Rage. The big brawl was bloody. It sprawled all throughout ringside and the huge crowd. Suzie and I were holding our own. We both were taking on 2 people. It was not a problem for us. The others were after Eric, Xavier and Kodie. They were all getting their asses handed to them. We could not really do much about that. Back in the ring, the referee began to wake up. Leo went over and locked in a devastating leg lock submission in the middle of the ring. Jake refused to give him after 30 seconds in the hold. Leo applied it 3 more times. On the fifth attempt, Jake was able to roll Leo up in a possum pin. He kicked out at 2. Jake's legs were in the red. Leo did his signature. That was not enough to put him away. Leo was getting frustrated. He then did his finisher. That was what it took to put Jake down for good. We had a total victory over the Beach Bums. Rage had been defeated by us heels. There were only 2 weeks before the big pay-per-view.

The next Battlefield was when they got their pay back. The 6 members of Team Rage attacked us backstage. It was very dangerous backstage. I got in our rental car and ran half of them over when we got to the parking lot. We did a whole lot of high impact moves on the concrete. They all needed to go to the hospital. At the end of it, 4 members of the team needed to drop out from the main event. That did not matter to me one bit. None of them should have gotten involved with us. It was a large brand anyway. Rage was able to replace them. I did not know if the replacements were better or worse than the first set. We were not the ones that were going to fight them. It was the main event, so it would be nice to be able to beat them. If Team Rage ultimately won, it would not do anything to us. We did not fight on their show. If Battlefield's team won, we would be the first ones to take credit. The scramble to replace their injured members with weaker opponents would be our angle. We embarrassed them with wins on their own show. Nobody would then be able to discount what we did here.
