Since I did crash out, I was kind of expecting that this would follow me here. When I was first signed up, I spent the first month in catering. This was a bigger scene than I was expecting. There were long lines for promos and they all had to be approved in advance. Luckily, the barrier was not too high. You needed a 6 in Charisma. That was where my stat was. 5 weeks in, the general manager of Battlefield took the opening slot of the card for a promo. While a company like OPW only had 5 slots for TV and 9 for pay-per-views, EWL had 7 slots for live TV. 11 slots for the pay-per-views were huge because the had the budget for it. The general manager was very upset for some reason. FOG was a sold as a game for all ages, but you could toggle the game content available for children versus adults. This meant there were Players and NPCs of all ages doing things in the world. There were several kids in OPW. I just ignored them unless I wanted an easy win. The general manager called out Robbie Ottie. This was a jobber kid. He had gone 0-19. That was really terrible. Robbie looked scared.

There was no mercy as the general manager tore into him. "We have standards here on Battlefield. Losers are not part of that. I don't see why I have to carry your dead weight. This is why we are adding a new 20 losing streak policy. If you lose your next match, happening tonight, you are fired!" the man shouted. Robbie was scared. I would be too in his position. "Wh-who am I fighting?" he asked. The GM simply shrugged his shoulders. "You think I am going to waste time on you. You figure it out. You are going to lose anyway." the man sneered before walking past him. Robbie was trembling. The general manager was all the way up the ramp when Robbie asked a good question. "Wh-what will h-happen if I... win!?" he asked. The GM stopped. He only turned his head. "You won't win. I know that. So much so, that if you somehow do win, you can get a title match of your choice at the next pay-per-view." he said with spite as he left the stage. Robbie did not know what to do. I did though. This was a clear storyline opportunity. I needed to get involved. Suzie and I approached him.

Understandably, Robbie was wary of us. We had not spoken before. However, the relief on his face was clear when we said that we wanted to help him. It was a sign he was not alone. Since he had trash stats, we needed him to face off against another child weakling. There was such a candidate. His name was Barry Carlisle. He had a record of 2-12. One of those 2 wins was against Robbie. That was good. We would both be managing him at ringside to make sure he was going to win. Robbie's match was set as the penultimate fight of the match card. Robbie was always either in the first 2 matches because he was so lowly ranked. Robbie came out first as he was the one who had to announce his opponent. We went out with him. I was carrying my 24/7 championship on my waist. Suzie was on the other flank. Robbie took a clean microphone from ringside before entering the ring. "Uh, I have a good opponent for the match. Um... Barry Carlise, I choose you." he said. We waited a full minute before generic music came on. Barry was a big jobber. Suzie and I left the ring for the match.
