It was one week after the installation of the nursery that we were visited by more diplomats from the Akane Clan on the other end of the mountain range. Having some of the most notable NPCs as visitors was pretty nice. They came in peace so we did our best to entertain them. It was clear their main goal was to get the merger going. It was cute, but they had nothing I wanted. I could print infinite money, potions and gear from the tower buried under the castle. As a Sage, I was forbidden from ruling over any naturally occurring NPC in the game. This meant that they really could not offer me power. Even if they were willing to give me a title and land, which they were not, I would have to turn them down. After a full in-game week of negotiations, they left empty handed. Since we could not reach an agreement, they sent me a declaration of war. It was an invasion CB. They were going to take it over simply because they felt strong enough to be entitled to it. That was a big mistake. Ichigo, Niko and Santa were mobilized to meet the invading army. The 3 of them could take 20 men down each.

Doing that much was still not enough to stem the tides. They sent 200 men to us. 50 samurai and 150 ashigaru troops were invading. The 3 samurai Protectors took out only 10 of the samurai and 50 ashigaru before they were forced to fall back. That was nearly a third of the invading force though. All the commoners were brought into the castle for protection. The newly formed Maruyama Clan was also taking shelter here from the invading forces. He had been exiled by them. The last thing he wanted was to be captured by them. They probably would kill outright him for fraternizing and breeding with the enemy. I did not want this to happen. Since everyone was in the big castle, the town was totally undefended. The invaders salted the fields and burned every single home to the ground. It was honestly very annoying. How dare they do all of that to our homes!? I did not panic or act brashly. There was no way they were going to win this war. They laid a very heavy siege. Once again, it was useless. We had infinite supplies thanks to the true tower. I dared them to breach the heavy wooden doors.

Ever confident, they did just that after 3 days in-game. That set off the trap. My 4 Slime Lords were now in play. They were never Protectors. They were huge boss fight encounters for intruders. As soon as they barged in, all four of the sprung into action. They were level 222, so there was no way for them to be killed by regular human warriors. Even without weapons they were total monsters. There were immune from the blinded, charmed, deafened, exhaustion, frightened and prone conditions. They were also immune to acid, slashing and their own element's damage. This rendered all the katanas and tantos useless. Only the spears and the arrows had a shot of doing any damage to them. On top of that, they had blindsight for a 60 foot radius. This meant they could perceive everything in the surroundings without relying on their sight. Even invisible creatures would not be able to escape. The ability called Spider Climb allowed the oozes to climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings with ease. Aside from hands and feet, they could make attacks with pseudopod tentacles.
