Harpies were literally half-man, half-bird creatures of folklore. This made it the perfect name for my clan. There was just one problem. I did not have a wife. The main heirs were the only ones that would get the Takahito surname. Hawks was my name, but it did not fit the setting at all. Until I got a wife, I would settle for my concubines. When you thought of the word "Deuce", you were mostly talking about a pair of things: 2 dots on a die, 2 of any suit in a deck of playing cards 40-40 in tennis etc. The word pair in Japanese could be read as Ryōsha with the kanji 両者.
