The figure pondered over all of the options in its head as the figure knew Mark perhaps better than he knew himself. The figure began to stand up with the smile still glued to its face. Things were about to get interesting as the figure slowly began to walk back into the shadow.
“A mother knows best, perhaps that’s the insight you need, my child,” the figure said as it snapped its fingers, right before disappearing into the darkness. With that, the entire area began to shake just like before. The shaking seemed to take down everything around Mark’s body as Mark’s body soon began to slip through the floor, floating into the darkness below. He wasn’t aware any of this was happening as everything soon faded, returning back to normal life.
The moment that Mark regained consciousness, his body was no longer where it used to be. When the dream initially began, Mark was on his bed in his room but now he was somewhere completely different. As he slowly began to open his eyes, sensations began to rush back to Mark as he could feel his body once again. His vision returned as did all of his other senses. Glancing around, Mark noticed where he was. He was no where close to his bedroom. Instead, he was now standing in the kitchen, one floor down and on the other side of the house.
Mark could remember vividly the dream he had just had as he frantically looked around. He expected to hear the voice or see some shadowy figure but nothing came. Instead, he was only met by long blonde hair that seemed to block his vision.
