Laid in front of the voice was many options in which it could enact its plans. Up until this point, there was no true inclination as to what the voice had planned but it clearly required the use of a second person. Billions of people were available for the voice to select but narrowing down the options was where it became tricky.
“The life of a teenage boy. One of untapped potential. One that is practically a blank slate. Many would kill and/or die for such a reward,” the voice said to itself as out from the black abyss walked a shadowy figure. The figure stood roughly eight feet tall and was completely pitch black. The general shape of the figure could be made out as it appeared to be dressed in a suit jack, slacks, and long dress shoes complete with a rimmed hat. The only places where color existed was in its eyes which glowed a dark red color and its teeth which were yellow. The figure paced around Mark who laid on the floor, unaware of anything that was happening.
“I’d hate to ruin things but you’ve sort of forced my hand. I could be a pain, my child, but I feel as if that would be taking it too far. To give your life away to a stranger is something I wouldn’t want to do to you nor them. Your life must be blessed upon one in which bares your blood,” the figure said as it seemed the figure was also the voice that spoke to Mark earlier. It leaned down to get a closer look at Mark and soon began to smile. The yellow teeth sort of glowed with the darkness that surrounded them.
