Sarah McMillan spotted Biff among a group of football players gathered near the front entrance of the school, and put on her best leopard impression as she stalked her prey.
But when she pounced, jumping up on Biff's back, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist, she felt something unfamiliar in the way his muscles reacted beneath her. It was subtle. But it was like something small was missing. An unflappability that, just this once, just for a moment, had flapped.
She shook it off. It must be her imagination. Because after a moment, everything felt back to normal. And as she hopped back down to the concrete and Biff turned to her, it was with all of the awe and adoration that she was used to from him.
Except.
He wasn't looking at her face. This in and of itself wasn't so unusual, but he wasn't looking at her boobs, either. Sarah could have sworn that Biff's attention, Biff's awe, was focused just slightly higher than usual. And her suspicion was confirmed when he spoke:
"I love the way you styled your hair today," he breathed in a way that told Sarah that there was another part of the sentence he was holding back.
The cheerleader took the compliment at face value, however, preening slightly to present herself more clearly to her partner.
Biff looked down at his watch surreptitiously instead. "We've got time," he breathed. "Let's find an empty room, I'm going to make it look even better."
And without warning, Biff literally swept Sarah off of her feet. She hadn't even fully processed his words, she was just thrilled by his actions, relishing in being carried close to his broad, strong chest and whisked away to some place private.
But whatever she'd been expecting to happen once she and Biff were alone together, she was entirely caught off guard as Biff gently placed her down in a chair, sat down behind her, and began re-styling her hair.
It was nice. It felt nice for Biff's fingers to run through the strands of her hair, to move and adjust and re-pin and fluff. But it wasn't boyfriend nice. If she closed her eyes, and if Biff didn't talk, then it almost felt like Sarah was alone in a room, sharing a quiet intimate moment with another girl.
