Karyn found Jon pacing back and forth outside the school, looking agitated. "Where have you been?"
She frowned. "What do you mean?"
"I was waiting for you..." Jon insisted. "Things have been crazy, I just needed..."
"To talk? Me too..." Karyn sat on the wall. "Gina agreed for the two of us to go out with Sarah and her friends...I mean, Sarah of all people?"
Jon looked at her. "Why is Gina suddenly the only thing you talk about, Karyn? I mean, I keep seeing less and less of you. Don't you realize how strange that is?"
Karyn looked at him. "Gina's my girlfriend now...I'm sorry if you feel left out...I mean, this change in our relationship is just new. I'm not going to forget about other people just because I have a girlfriend."
"But, that's it..." Jon said. "Think about it...I'm your friend, and you say you've known Gina for ages...Then how is it that she and I have never met?"
Karyn paused. That was a good point. She must have hung out with both of them at some point...
This was the kind of inconsistency the magic needed to clean up. But how?
