Sarah recalled the blue branch, the impossibility of it, and how Karyn suddenly was blonde and had a chest to equal hers, after wishing it so. She doesn't remember properly how it came to be, but she does recall that before and after saying that "wish", Karyn changed.
What prompted this memory? Her desire to actually stop talking with these cheerleaders and jocks. If Karyn or Jon have a magic granting object, or maybe whatever they say as a wish comes true, maybe she could corner one or both of them when they are alone, and she is alone too, so it is only the two, or three of them, and ask, no, beg to help her. She wants their friendship and is so, so tired of dealing with Melissa, Tiffany and the others. So tired of meathead Biff, who only takes her as a trophy pretty much.
Sarah is sure that if she keeps on with these "friendships", her future is to be a trophy wife married to jock Biff who will probably be some brain-damaged quaterback from some high paying NFL team, while Jon and Karyn will probably be succesful in their own way, maybe not CEOs or whatever, but with their own jobs that do not demean them, on their own merits. What merit exists in being a trophy wife after all?
