Anna with just a little help from 'Jennifer' spent the next 10 minutes explaining to Kylie how the amulet worked. Kylie listened attentively. Anna also explained to her roommate how 'Jennifer' had accidently turned into a hamster then a giant hamster with a human figure. The only thing she left out of the story was that 'Jennifer' was originally her boyfriend Mark. Mark didn't correct her, thinking that Anna must have reasons for this omission.
"So Jennifer is stuck as my twin until tonight?" Kylie asked. The question was aimed at either Anna or the girl she thought was Jennifer.
"Yes" replied Anna. "It takes 12 hours before it will work on the same person again. So we will need to wait until 8pm before Jennifer will be able to be herself. Until then she will have to find somewhere to hide"
"So at 8pm this amulet will change Jennifer from my twin to a tall athletic blonde. Can I watch?"
"I have no objection"
"But you can't use those shoes anymore because I wore them. What will you use instead?"
"Actually that could be a bit of a problem. I thought I had packed Jennifer's cheer uniform just for that purpose but when I unpacked. I couldn't find it"
"Cheer uniform? Like a one piece white and green uniform?
"White with two green stripes"
"Oh I hung that in the cupboard. It was with the shirts you had left on the desk"
"Thank god!" Anna was very relieved.
"Couldn't you just use any of Jennifer's own clothes?"
Anna quickly had to think of a reason to explain her obvious relief "Oh yeah, It's just Jennifer had a new dye job when she last wore that uniform. Any of her other clothes would have given her roots"
Marks eyes rolled. Surely it would have just been easier to have told the truth.
Kylie turned to Mark (who she knew as Jennifer) "So are you not a natural blonde?"
"Well I'm definately not a blonde at the moment" All three girls giggled
"But this amulet would still work on someone else. Say for instance you or me?" Asked Kylie when the giggling subsided
"Yes. That's why I keep it in a zip lock bag. As Jennifer has found out. Accidents can easily happen"
Kylie looked at 'Jennifer' once more.
"Would you like some clothes that actually fit that body? I'll lend you some"
Mark was well aware that the clothes she was currently wearing were now too big. "Thanks. That would be nice"
"I'll get you something. We had better get back to the dorm though Anna. Our charges will be up and hopefully have got themselves to the breakfast hall, but we will need to be there to get them to their activities"
"Oh hell! I had forgotten. Mrs Birkin will be wondering where we are! I'll get the sack!" moaned Anna. She turned to Mark "I'll be as busy as can be until the afternoon. You will have to find somewhere else to hide before lunch. They will be using the boathouse in the afternoon"
"Don't worry Anna. Once we get the girls to the first activities I have the rest of the morning off" said the real Kylie. She turned to her twin. "I'll be back in about an hour with a complete oufit for you. You will be safe here until then"
With that Anna and Kylie hurriedly departed for the camp, leaving Mark alone.
