Kylie just stared at the short brunette who had been introduced to her as 'Jennifer' for several seconds before saying "Wow! We look so alike. We could be twins!"
Anna spoke "You are twins or at least you will be in several more minutes when Jennifer's changes are complete"
Kylie approached 'Jennifer' and looked closely at the girl's face. If 'Jennifer' was wearing a mask it was a perfect copy of Kylie's own. She tentatively touched the girl's nose. It didn't feel like rubber. The girl seemed slightly taller than herself but perhaps that was just her imagination.
Mark stood still and allowed Kylie her examination. He was happy that Kylie was not freaking out. He also took the opportunity to examine Kylie. There wasn't a mirror in the boathouse but Kylie was the next best thing. She was cute and petite with a pretty face. He also observed that for the moment he was still slightly looking down on the girl, but that was changing by the moment as his changes competed.
Mark was also a bit puzzled as to why Anna had introduced him as 'Jennifer' he had intended to tell the total truth. He supposed Anna had some sort of plan so decided to keep silent on that topic. Perhaps Anna thought Kylie would freak out if she knew her twin was a guy.
"The mask is perfect" said Kylie "Have I ruined some sort of surprise? How did you make it? I didn't know you were also into theatre"
"It's not a mask. Jennifer is becoming your twin. We didn't mean this to happen. She just had an accident with a magical amulet. Tell me did you wear the shoes I showed you last night?"
Kylie admitted "I did. I saw they were my size and wanted to see why you thought they were so comfortable"
"That explains why Jennifer is changing into you. The amulet works by changing you into the last person to wear an article of clothing. Jennifer had an accident yesterday and turned herself into a giant hamster. We tried to use those shoes to give her back her own body but because you wore them she has become you instead"
Kylie addressed her twin, noticing that they were now the same height. "I'm sorry. I didn't know. I think you need to tell me more about this amulet"
