Jon gasped and glared at Sarah. “You turned me into a girl? Why would you do this?”

Sarah rolled her eyes. “I didn’t turn you into a girl. You just look like one. Nothing I did should have changed what’s in your pants, not that you wear those anymore. I just did some work on the exterior. Think of it like a new coat of paint. It’s really quite fetching. I wish you could see it.” The stone, safely in Sarah’s purse, did not respond to the wish, but Jon’s wince at the W-word made Sarah realize what she said.

“Oh! That could have been interpreted wrong. But on reflection, pun intended, I realize you need a mirror in here. No one who looks like you do can get by without a mirror. Hmm. I didn't see one on my tour of the house, so we’ll just cheat.”

The stone was fished out of the bag, and a full length mirror was suddenly adorning one wall. Jon’s eyes went wide as he saw himself. He began moving, not quite posing, but as if verifying that this was his reflection. Sarah, meanwhile, was taking the opportunity to go through Jon’s wallet. The driver’s license and school ID could stay, but his certification card for shop class was popped in the bag. How interesting that the photos on the cards were all of Jon’s new look. Sarah mused with a smirk. Apparently he’s been getting dolled up for a while.

Jon had moved to sitting on the bed again, and Sarah realized that she had reactivated the “sit and wait” part of the bag by stealing the shop certification. It was probably for the best. While she was happy with how he had turned out so far, she wasn’t quite done with Jon. After all, he didn’t seem to have any hobbies worth speaking of, and idle hands were nothing but trouble.

“Okay, Jon-jon. I’m just popping out for a bit, but I’ll be back to finish with you as soon as I can.” Sarah turned towards the door, but turned back as a thought struck her. “Your family doesn’t have any old boxes of toys or clothes or anything stored somewhere, do they? I don’t need to look through them, but it might save time. Oh, don’t give me that look. You know I could wish something up if I really wanted to. Keeping it in the family is cost effective.”

Jon sighed from the bed. “We have some boxes out in the garage.”

“Thanks, Jon. I’ll try to bring you back something special.”

Jon glowered at the door. Or tried to. It looked more cute than imposing.
