Jon got right up to the bus and stopped right by the bus driver when he noticed a few people looking at him strange including the bus driver.
"Are you doing alright, kid?", The bus driver asked him which Jon looked right at him for a bit
"I'm fine." He gave a quick reply
"You sure-"
"I'm sure. It's just sore throat.", Jon went and continued down the bus, passing by a few familiar faces, eventually reaching the near back oft the bus and see that one of the seats was occupied. Jay Duncan sat right by the window looking down at a notebook, looking like he's reading through his study notes.
When Jon was about to take a seat, Jay's hand quickly planted where Jon would have sat. "Sorry, this seat is taken..." Jay is still reading through his notebook, not even looking at Jon.
"Jay, come on man!", Jon tried to pull his hand off but found it suddenly harder than it should be. Did he also lose his old strength?
"Sorry la-" Jay finally looked up to see Jon, now too stunned to say anymore
"AYE! Before you say anything, let me take a seat first.", Jon could finally pull his hand away from the seat and sat right down.
Jay was still too stunned to say anything.
"Come on... say something.", Jon said
There was a bit of a long pause which gave Jon a thought for the moment, should he reveal anything to him? If he revealed that he essentially turned into a female version of himself, it would open up a whole can of worms. It was sort of fortunate that he had forgotten the stone back at home else it would be another mindless wish he'd have to worry about. If any case, someone else might gain control over the stone and it would doom not only to him but potentially the entire planet.
"Why do you look so thin?", finally said, breaking Jon's line of thought.
Then Jon decided on the whim that he couldn't. "I'm already thin, how is it any different than last time?", he gave out a quick lie.
"I cant exactly pin it but something is a bit different about you.", Jay replied, still analyzing Jon from top to bottom with eyes which felt like daggers stabbing right at him.
"Is it the voice? Cause I think it's a sore."
"No, this doesn't sound like a sore. You sound a tiny bit higher pitched."
"Well, I think it is. I woke up with something in my throat."
"Maybe it will be gone by lunch." Jay gave a bit assurance
"I'd doubt it." Jon muttered without realising it.
"What'd you say?" Jay quickly asked after noticing it.
"Oh nothing...", Jon answered the notice what Jay was reading on his notebook.
"You're still stuck there?", Jon quickly grabbed the notebook off from him.
"Yeah... I think I got the formula wrong, Ms. Petra isn't really well know for good penmanship.", Jay inched a little closer to Jon, now only mere inches from his face.
"You don't even look like you have a good penmanship either." Jon teased.
"Screw you, Jon..." Jay said back, looking at Jon.
Jon suddenly felt a little bit of intensity in his gaze which followed the weird feeling in his chest and in his face.
Jon went right to fixing Jay's problem in his notes.
"Did you forget the minus operation in this part? I think there would be since you're converting-"
"so cut- Uhh... yeah I think so... huh, I might have...", Jay stumbled a reply.
Jon caught a tiny bit of what was said and he felt himself blush a tiny bit as well. he internally sighed and thought, "This is going to be a long bus ride."
