Personally, Anna did not want to have them start fighting again. "I am only here to shop for a house. If you really don't need my help, I could go find a better life for myself in the future. You know me. I can be a bitch, or I could be a fucking hero, but don't waste my time." she said bluntly. They looked at each other for a moment. Ryder was still grabbing onto Ernest's collar. "You tell her right now, or I will." he said. Ernest took another drag of his cigarette before taking it from his mouth. "My dad is a fucking gambling addict. He's been on a losing streak. The debts were high. I needed to take care of it last night." Anna looked at him. "You gave him the money you've been making from the guild?" she asked. He just gave her a withering look. "Barely covered half. My dad's a beta that owes the loan sharks a ton of money. It was either I sell my ass, or my mom sells hers." he said with a wry smile. Then he glared down at the ground. His other fist balled up. "I'm not going there. Not like when I was younger. I saw what she went through." Ernest growled. "It's so not right!" Ryder yelled out loud.

Obviously it was not right. This was a horrible thing. Anna looked at him. Ernest just sucked his teeth. "Don't fucking look at me like that! It's bad enough that I had to go through with it. A coldhearted bitch like you giving me dumb pity is only going to make it worse." he spat. He took another drag from the cigarette. He was clearly getting super agitated here. Anna blinked and said "Ernest. You know that Ryder is your friend here. He clearly wants to help you. Why not just let him?" He rolled his eyes. "It's my family's mess. It needs to get solved by us." he said. Ernest was being performatively masculine. Anna crossed her arms. "What's the point of being in a gang if you don't want to have back up!? Don't be a fucking dumbass." she said. His gaze narrowed at her. "Why!? You're the one that gave us the big lecture. I'm a psi male. There is nothing a limp dick beta can do to me. Even if the alphas come, I don't even have to open up. They can cum in my ass and I'll pop off their knot using my slick." He chuckled self deprecatingly. "I can feel what you said. If I get stronger, It won't matter."

Quietly, Anna looked at him. She indeed gave all of the delinquents the lecture about how the world works. He was 100% right about what he said. The stronger Ernest's body and spirit got, the more that he could take. At some point, he would be strong enough that alphas would not even be able to penetrate him without blowing several loads first. They were already stronger than the average civilian. "Ernest. Just because that's the way the world works, that doesn't mean that it's right or good. You weren't the one who fucked up. It's your dad. None of your family members aside from him should have to sell their bodies. Even if, one day, you get to the Tudis' level, it still should bother you that you are being pimped out by your own father." "I don't care. A man's got to do what a man's got to do." he said after another long drag of his cigarette. Ryder looked pained. Anna just scoffed. "Try saying that when you aren't trying to drown the pain by smoking." she said. Ernest just glared at her. What's your father doing?" Anna asked. "What!?" he screamed. "If he's a man, what's he doing?"

Really, there was no excuse for the behavior. That was why he was not able to give them an answer. Ernest was pissed off so he crushed the cigarette in his hand. "Oh fuck off, Anna! What am I supposed to do about it now? I still have to do something about it. My mom isn't going to be the one selling her ass!" Anna put a hand on his shoulder. "I don't know you that well. I don't know your family life. I do know you need help. I know Ryder and I are right here and are ready to help. And we're going to do it." she said. Ernest looked shocked. "Are you an only child?" she asked him. "Where's that coming from!?" he demanded. "I need to know if you have any brothers and sisters." she said honestly. "He doesn't." Ryder answered for him. Anna turned to one being helpful. "Do you know where he lives?" she asked. "Of course I do! He lives right here. I'm next door." he said proudly as he pointed out their houses. It was just like the houses she had been looking at. "Good. Let's go inside, Ryder. It's time to go rescuing Ernest and his mom." she said with determination. Ryder cheered out loud.
