2 weeks later, Anna was going on an errand. She was looking for cheap housing in the city. They were on the verge of graduation. She was going to have to figure it out now. Finding where to live would soon be the most important thing to do. Anna had the money to find a small house. She was being paid by the guilds for jobs. Anna also pocket wiped the alphas she killed and dumped. The authorities still had not put 2 and 2 together. Police did not even speak to her. She also had to think what she would do as well. She decided to look at the cheapest places first. That meant going over to the slums. Normally, the slums were not safe and secure. Anna did not mind. All of the people that would have done crime towards her could be put down by her. She was that high leveled. It also had to do with her buffs to melee against alpha males. It was a videogame. There were no mortgages to deal with here. Either you owned the house, or you did not. You could rent an apartment though. You had to meet the price every month on top of bills. One house in the bad neighborhoods cost 20000 lin.
50,000 lin was enough for a low income house. There was slightly more security, but there were still some rough people there. In the medium income neighborhoods, the cost of a house was 150,000 lin. Police presence was so easy to summon. Crime was rare as well. A pretty swanky mansion in a high income area was 525,000 lin. They were the sign that you had made it. You could build homes in various areas too, but it could cost twice or thrice the price of an existing house if there were events in the region effecting the price. Anna looked at her inventory while she was walking down the street. She had 57,375 lin on her. The 7 slum houses for sale were small. It was a bunch of variations on the same pretty shitty 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom house layout with a kitchenette and living room. They were all only 1 floor. The only saving grace was she could buy one and fix it up with the rest of the cash she had. She was ready to move on. She was only a block away from the last house before she heard some really familiar voices. Looking closer, they were scuffling openly on their street.
Not sure of what was going on, Anna walked over to them. Neither of them had noticed that she was there yet. She was able to separate them easily. "Hold on a minute. I don't want to see friends fighting like this." she said. She recognized them. They were 2 of the 12 delinquent psi males she collected. They went to her school. It was not some strangers. Their names were Ernest and Ryder. Both of them were bruised and bloody from their fight. "What is going on?" she asked. Ryder looked at Ernest expectantly. Ernest did not say anything. Anna just looked at Ryder. "He's not talking right now. You might as well say it for him." she said to them. Ernest rolled his eyes and began to pat his pockets. It was not something that he wanted to talk about. Ryder looked at Ernest. "C'mon. Tell her. It's not something I should say, Ernie. She can help us!" he begged. "It's none of her business. It's not your business either." Ernest said as he pulled out a cigarette and lighter from his pocket. "You cannot be serious right now!" Ryder snapped. "Kiss my ass!!" Ernest snapped back. Ryder had enough.
