That seemed like good advice. Mikey calmed down. "Thanks, Gina. You're the best."

Gina smiled. Mikey was sweet and she cared about him. But he had to understand that she didn't see him the way he saw her. He was more like a little brother. She wasn't going to let someone pick on him. "I'll see you later, okay?"

"Okay," Mikey said. "Thanks..." he felt better already. He just wished Jon would act more like Gina. He didn't connect the dots to when he'd been wishing the exact opposite.

Meanwhile, Gina's response was cut off by the buzzing of Karyn's phone. It was a message from her mom calling her home for dinner.

"I have to go home," Karyn sighed. "We're still on for tomorrow though," she promised, leaning over to give Gina a kiss. She picked up her bookbag, and she let herself out the front door.

Gina headed upstairs to her room, sighing, still thinking about Mikey and this Jon kid. She considered using the wishing stone to help, but that could be dangerous. She didn't know that being as Mikey, herself, and Jon were already in the middle of a wish, mixing a new one in could, like mixing different medications, could lead to unexpected side effects. Of course, she wasn't particularly aware she was already experiencing side effects of a wish.

The wish was that Gina was more like Jon. The problem was the word more. If Mikey had wished she was like Jon, this would have happened instantly. The more had created a slower situation, because it required her to be constantly in a state of being more more like Jon. Not having heard the wish, even if Gina noticed an issue, it would ultimately resolve itself...by her becoming more like Jon.

As she headed toward her room, she heard music playing from the guest room. She peeked in, and saw Zoe sitting there. For a moment, she almost questioned it before the question was unnecessary. "Zoe, would you mind keeping it down?" she asked the younger girl.

Zoe Malucci reached over and lowered the volume. "Sorry," she said.

"I thought Mom bought you those wireless headphones," Gina remarked.

"I forgot to charge them. Besides, it sounds much better on the speakers," she said. "I mean, this track is amazing..." She seemed excited about it, and slightly less angry than Zoe Gibson. Even her Gothic attire had been toned down slightly.

Gina sighed. "Karyn and I were trying to hang out..."

"Fine...I'll turn it off...I hope you stay out of my hair if I bring someone here...not that I would..." Zoe said.han her attire might suggest.
