Jon was in his room, staring at the stone in his hand. It was crazy to think how much his life had changed today and how much it would change going forward...

And yet.

Somehow it didn't feel like enough. Here he was, nearly an adult, having spent so many years spent as a normie, having to make "mistakes" and "learn" from them without the help of an all-powerful artifact.

It was really unfair, honestly. He had to deal with people like Biff! For years!

So, it only made sense he'd change that. He'd get a redo. Or rather, a reroll. If he was going to do something this life-changing, he'd get to call it whatever he wanted. Even if it was a tad cringe.

Sure, there was no guarantee he'd be better off in this reroll. But, given the newfound revelation of the stone, the implications were staggering. There had to be hundreds- no, millions of Jons out there, and he could reroll into one of their lives. There had to be at least one Jon Gibson out there with a more fulfilled, complete life, right? At the wise old age of seventeen plus or minus a year?

One must imagine Jon Gibson happy.

Jon gripped the stone with all his strength and hope. "I wish that, for the next use only, my stone became an all-powerful pair of dice. Once I roll the dice, I will swap places with an alternate universe version of myself, repeating the day where I first receive the stone. When I receive the stone, they will by default function in the exact way as my grandpa described in his will. I will have no memory of ever having the stone prior or ever having been a different version of myself..." before Jon closed his mouth, he felt something missing. One final piece, made clear once he looked back at his phone, currently open to an ongoing text conversation between him and Karyn. He smiled. "...and no matter how little or how much everything else changes, Karyn will remain a significant part of my life."

A bright flash, followed by Jon opening up his palm to reveal a pair of glowing red dice. He wasted no time, shaking them in his hand with an intense look of concentration. Come on...Jon-boy needs a new pair of shoes!

And so Jon tossed them. And an even brighter flash consumed all.
