Jon paused. There was only one person who might have somehow found the wishing stone and knew Gina Malucci. He needed to talk to his brother...now.
He headed across the hall to his brother's room and found him playing a game.
"Mikey, did you take something from my room?" He asked.
Mikey looked up from what he was doing. "No..." he said. Mikey didn't usually lie to him, or at the least Jon could usually see right through it.
"Umm...how was your day?" Jon said, feeling a bit out of sorts.
"Great...Gina helped me with my history project."
Jon froze. "Gina?" He'd never met Gina, but it felt like she was popping up everywhere.
"Yes, Gina Malucci..."
"I thought you didn't like her," Jon said.
"That was yesterday," Mikey said. "Today, she was really nice to me. I don't know what happened to her, but I hope she stays this way."
Jon paused. So everyone suddenly liked Gina. Mikey, Karyn....Karyn sounded like she was dating her. This was insane. He wasn't sure what was happening, or what to do about it. If he didn't know better, he'd think Gina herself had made a wish. She seemed to be the only one benefiting from whatever was going on. "I...gotta go," Jon said.
Mikey watched as his older brother hurried out. Jon didn't seem to be acting normal either.
