Not every guildmember got to that rank. It was actually very rare like the Diamond rank. You needed 3 recommendations and 100 successes. Most guild members either skipped the rank or simply stayed at gold. It would be very easy for Anna and her party to get to diamond. There were 6 of them in a party. You needed 3 people of the platinum rank, which they would be, to promote them. Anna could just have her party members recommend her to the rank and vice versa. They would each end up with a total of 5 by the end of the day. Since they would be platinum, they would also help Victor, Quinn, Lester, Chad and Brad. They were all skipping school to help Victor out. Now that he was squared away, it was time to help themselves. When Victor finished signing the paperwork and got his key, Anna looked at the manager. "Can we take our practical flight exams since we're here? I think most of us are ready." she asked. He smiled at her. "I wondered what was taking you so long. We practically have your bronze, silver and gold ranks on a shelf for you guys in the back." he said.
It was fine for the alphas to go first. The practical exam would entail getting in the plane with the instructor, preparing for take off in the hangar, actually taking off from the runway, flying a couple of laps around the airport and then landing the plane safely on the runway. After taxiing back to the hangar, the instructor would give the results. It was a slow day at a small airport, so it was easy to block off some time for the exams. The manager took it upon himself to administer the exam. Quinn was the first one up. He passed with flying colors. So did Lester. The manager was happy for both of them. They were using the bigger jets for commercial flights. That took time and a lot of skill. After that was Anna's turn to test herself. She was the only one that wanted to fly a helicopter. The manager sat next to her. She did all of the preparation by herself such as checking the fuel tanks, the condition report of the helicopter and the flight logs in front of him and explained what she was doing. There was no runway on the helipad. She still had to take off and do her 2 laps around. Anna was fine.
Once she landed he told her Anna had passed it. She was happy. The manager looked at the omegas. They were also ready to go. He sighed and said "I'm tired. I'll see if Brian is up to it. Otherwise we might have to pick this up another time." Anna blinked at him. "You look like you have another test in you." she said. He was pretty energetic with her in the helicopter. He shrugged his shoulders. "Tired is tired. I can't help that." he said before walking away. He was an alpha supremacist. Anna and the others had to look for Brian. He was in the lounge having a late lunch. "How'd it go? Did you get your wings yet?" he asked. Anna frowned and said "Not yet. Manny got tired after Quinn and Lester. Can you do a few exams please?" She had her hands together. He looked at her and then the clock. "I think I have a couple in me. Let's go." he said as he got up, stuffing the rest of his ham sandwich in his mouth. He washed it with his soda. Manny, or Emanuel Heath, was the branch manager. Brain Ballders and Oscar White were the only other examiners here as they were silver ranks.
Brian was not told that Anna passed. He did not need to know that. Anna pushed Chet and Thad towards Brian. "Let's them squared away first with their exam." she said in a cheerful voice. "Feeling nervous about going? It's just jitters. You'll do fine, Anna." Anna pouted and said "I wouldn't say that!" Brian chuckled and said "Fine. Let's get a few out the way. Chet and Thad can go first then. Maybe Percy too since there's not much prep that needs to be done for the kind of plane he's flying." Anna sighed in relief. The omegas did everything by the book. Brian looked over at Chad and Brad. "Are you going or are we moving on. I'm not coming back to this side of the hanger again." he prompted. They hurried up to him. Brian smirked and said "Alright alright. Chad is older, so he can go first." Chad passed. He was so happy that he purred audibly. Anna pulled him into a hug. Brian pet him on the head like a cat. "Yes, you did pretty good for an omega. I bet your grandparents are proud." he said. Chet had let it slip they had an alpha grandfather sometime earlier. Brad passed it after him.
