Being that his boss was too much of a coward to confirm this one way or another, he just had to leave it where it was. "Fine. I don't want to hear anything about you in the streets. Do you understand me!?" he demanded. Alex's face showed what he thought about that. "Yeah. I'm clocking out." he said as he stood up. Alex gathered up his things after clocking out and left. Mack and the other centaurs followed him out. They only made it a block from his workplace before they started their antics. Mack stood in front of him and looked down at him. "Good job faking like you don't know us. That's not going to work anymore." he spat. Alex just looked at him. The pink and white barrel of his horse half was blocking his path. "Are you fucking serious!? You almost got me in trouble at my job." Alex shouted at him. Mack scoffed. "You think all of this shit you did isn't hurting our ability to do our work!? Fix it or you'll have a lot worse tomorrow." he threatened. Alex rolled his eyes. He was the one with the power here. All he needed to do was open up the app. "Will you leave me alone if I do?" he asked them.

Calling for a return to normal was not good. Normally, they were going to surround and kill him in a parking lot. That was the last thing that Alex wanted. "We'll go back to business as usual." one of them said smugly. That was what Alex had feared they would say in response. All of them would abduct and shoot him the second they were back to normal. It was a matter of self defense now. No one could blame him for doing what he could to get rid of thugs trying to murder him in cold blood. In fact, they all were already criminals of the worst type. Murder and kidnapping were the types of crimes that put you away for a very long time. Mark, Leo and Toby were also criminals, but they at least were nice and considerate of other people. Alex might have been cool only because they were neighbors, but that was enough. He was just looking at them as they surrounded him on the sidewalk. They were not just going to let him walk away easily. He was going to have to do something. All the goons were starting to get a bit antsy. They did not like their situation. Getting back to normal was top of mind.
