When they got back, It was Kevin, Walter and Winston waiting for them in the lobby with Dion and Damon. Dion was treating everyone to a meat at a fancy restaurant. It was great. Anna was recovering from the flight, so she did not each much with them. What she did eat, she liked a lot. Molly was much further along the pregnancy. Both tournaments were a week long and there was week in between. Another week was spent extending their stay for tourism in Glondar. They certainly had the money to continue staying in the hotel for an extra week. They had been gone for a month in game. Molly was in the third trimester. After the meal, we were taken to Bruce's huge mansion. It was extremely big. There were enough rooms for everyone to have their own. Bruce was a gracious enough host to let them tour the place. At the end of the evening, those not in the family had to go home. Cabs were called and paid for by the alpha patriarch. Once they were gone, Bruce looked at Dion. "Please don't bring random people to my home again." he said with a deep sigh. Dion nodded.
Very quickly, Bruce shifted gears to address us. He adopted the face of the alpha patriarch. "I have brought you all here to discuss your futures." he said. Anna could only guess what he would have in mind for the boys now. The first born son and cousin were also in the mansion. Bruce had a servant sent for them. Jeffery and Kurt were brought in by the maid with the red eyes and scars on her face. "Not that all the family is gathered, it is time for the reports. What have you been doing lately?" he began the meeting. Starting with the maid's duties in the mansion, they went down the line. Jeffery was a cardiac surgeon at the hospital general hospital that the twins were born in. He completed a surgery just the week before. Kurt was keeping his grades high so he could go to the college with the best pre-med program in the country. That was good. Kevin had recently gotten that promotion. He was making more money as upper management. The boys told everyone about their successes abroad. Bruce's face showed that he did not care. Dion was working hard. Damon studied.
College was important. By law, every citizen had the right to pursue free public education at a government funded university if they had the grades. If not, they could still go if they were willing to pay a tuition fee. However, the reason for it was different depending on your gender. Alpha studied business, pre-med, pre-law and the STEM fields to prepare themselves for a cutthroat world of striving to the top of some system. Whether it was head surgeon at a hospital, partner at a law firm or CEO of a mega corporation, they would need to show why they were top dog. Just being an alpha was not enough. Omegas were nominally there to study humanities, nursing or social work. Really, the shrewd omegas of middle class families were looking for successful looking alphas with bright futures to marry or baby trap. Omegas of rich families were already set for life. They just needed any degree to justify why they were put in charge of some minor branch or shell company under their alpha parents. Betas ran the whole spectrum when it came to their major. They just wanted stability.
