Reid, Reilly, Ronan and Rhys all had to console their mother. Anna said "Alphas treat omegas like shit in more traditional countries. This is just the inverse. I'm sure you have been around when people made comments about you and Kevin raising independent and strong omegas. Some well meaning. Some downright nasty." Charles reluctantly nodded his head. "The worst comments came from the oldest omegas. The slurs they tossed at my sons for liking sports was insane. And I just had to stay quiet. We were the ones causing problems." he said slowly. "Here, that is the default mindset. If all alphas were like him, it would be a better world. Even he has ingrained biases against omega males though. He believes alphas are better than omegas in nearly every way. It's just he wants to redeem his bloodline in his father's eyes. He had to accept his sons being radical or his branch of the family would end. Bruce would just marry all his kids to alphas and forget about Kevin entirely." Anna said. She added "It's brave. It only went so far though. He disowned Ronan."
Charles glared at her. "Don't just frame things like that about him! What would you know as a beta!? He works hard everyday to put food on the table for 6. His brothers got one alpha son each and stopped trying. They go on all sorts of fancy vacations and play around. We barely make ends meet. Kevin's would never allow his 4 children to be handed to bad mates! That's not the man he is!" he spat. Anna nodded. "Sure. He would do his best to make sure those 4 alphas would never hit them. I know him well enough to say that. But if not for me dating them and encouraging them to stay on the tennis team, they would have eventually quit. Kevin would not tell them to stick to it. If they fell in love with a beta, Kevin would not have supported that pairing. Kevin doesn't support Ronan's relationship with Mitchel. If Bruce told him to set Ronan on a date with an alpha right now, that is what Ronan would return to. I think Kevin's a great person. It's not going to blind me from calling a spade a spade. Kevin does not believe in equality. He's just bet the farm on alpha grandkids. He's won it."
They were all omega males aside from 4 of them. Everyone knew implicitly what Anna was saying about Kevin was true. He was not violent, but he was still a real alpha supremacist. Now that he had the grandchildren he desired, it was a toss up how his attitude toward his children would change. He had 2 alpha prime daughters from his son, Reilly. A beta and another child was coming from Reid, his eldest son, via Molly's womb. He told Mitchel and Ronan to their faces he would rather he have an alpha mate for his sons. He let slip that his father, Bruce, would have forced alphas on them in 5 years regardless of how their career was going. What more did you need? It was a self serving ploy but, even then, it put him well above 90% of traditional and conservative alphas. Now, it was on his mercy and whims alone whether they would continue to have this freedom or not. With those thoughts, they all decided to call it a day. The next day they all hung out again. Charles still wore his collar. It was part of him, for better or worse. He stood proud despite all of their staring at him.
Owning his position and choices in life was a choice that only he could make as an empowered adult. It was just as brave. He no doubt had to overcome many personal hardships as an omega male. Even by omega standards, it was seen as dangerous to give birth to 4 children at once. A botch of the C-section ruined his womb. Charles was incapable of having more children. The one thing that omegas were prized for and seen as valuable had been robbed from him. Even then, Kevin and Charles loved each other. They raised 4 children together. Those 4 children have gone on to become world recognized tennis champions. A sport that Charles had personally taught them about. From omega male mother to omega male sons, 2 of them had gone on to sire children as a father. Now he was a tourist in 2 separate foreign countries. His life was definitely something to take pride in. Anna respected him just as much as she respected Kevin. That was their last day of their trip. They had an early morning flight back to Breaca. Anna was still very motion sick like always from this.
