With that being the case, we were going to need to look for other solutions to the invasion. There was no reason for me to stay in their guildhall. No good could come of it now. I still had to pay half the cost out to them for going out and returning home. Paying at all for their failure was ridiculous to me, but adventuring was no easy job. The money had already been given to the guild, so they handed me the 2750 lin back. The rest was split evenly among the 6 adventurers. That was 458 lin each. Not too bad for the valley. I wondered what they would spend it on while I walked back to Battleville. I had to be ready for the next fight. I went Uri and Ras's houses first. I had to ask if they were mating their wives. They told me that they had not. "Start doing so. Preferably tonight. I want you to have at least 2 children each." I instructed them. I went to my house next and waited. More hybrids meant more Saints. At a certain point, I was going to let them take over. I could not be expected to do this shit forever. Time had passed by, and soon the alarm bells rang to alert me of the new threat.
3 cursed spirits stood before us. I kind of cheated last time. I took all 5 of us to battle a single one. Now they were coming in force. We still had enough of us to take them down. It came at the cost of Uri and Knight getting fully downed. I had to scramble to get over there in time to pick them up. They were totally defenseless. With Uri, I was able to stun one in critical health. I was able to seal Ebo the Terrible on the opposite side of the town as Nguk. It was then that Rook stabbed Rim the Dastardly. He was on his last legs. The same could be said for Yuhi the Nasty. I used Ras's black blade to slash at Yuhi. It stunned him. I was able to do the ritual to bind him to the ground next to his comrade. I would never take chances when 2 of my 4 servants were downed. He was too weak to resist and he was also stunned on top of that. Rook raised his blade to execute Rim. I stopped him on the downswing because this had to stop. Rim flinched from the aborted blow. I wrapped my chain around his neck. "You are a prisoner. You are coming with us right now, Rim the Dastardly!!" I spat.
Yapping about it was not allowed. When the gates of the town opened up for us all, the humans recoiled in horror. Even while defeated, he was terrifying and scary. Very dangerous as a curse spirit as well. I dragged him through the streets all the way over to the shrines. The guardians were shocked at the presence of Rim. I just looked at them. "Zox, Slashette, Ahu and Qwill. I need you to open up the shrine to Lord Eswirl. Now!" Rim struggled a bit, but I just punched him in the ribs. He fell to the ground with a loud cough. The shrine was opened and Ahu presented me with the replica of the large saber. I took it and looked at the shrine. "Lord Eswirl, please hear our prayer! Take this offering of blood from this curse spirit." I said. Turning to Rim, I called out "Foul degenerate, you suckle at the lifeblood of humanity. You will no longer be able to foul the valley, you reprobate from the beyond!" It was then that I swung it down and beheaded him. This was the first time I killed a curse spirit. Dark, evil flames engulfed their body. It was burned away, leaving a voodoo doll behind.
