Under the circumstances, things were actually going pretty great for us in the valley. Joz, Exu and Nguk were sealed away where people would not go to see them. They would not be escaping anytime soon. If they did, I would go kill them once and for all. Keeping hostiles alive was foolish unless you had a reason. My reason was that it was cool to have a divine ritual to bind them. That was it. Breaking free from it would not be good for anyone in the valley. Everyone was counting on me to solve this for them. Especially with me being the only one of the original 6 still combat ready. Shank was almost ready to be out on the field of battle. It was still an estimated week away though. That meant the next 2 would still be on me. I was fine with all of that. I just needed to get more chains from the smiths. That way I could bless them all. The next encounter was due tomorrow. It was on me and my servants to rest up and get ready for the fight. I spent my day playing with my and my servants children. All the other hybrids were busy with caring for their fathers. It was a sad sight.

Very sad. I went with the children to check up on them. They were still pretty rough. All their bodies were translucent. It was like speaking to ghosts. All the prayers were working to slowly stitch the weapons together. There was a simple fact holding them back. It was the fact that they were not popular deities. They did not travel to the other settlements. Even in Battleville, they were not what humans would consider approachable. If they were not just aimlessly wandering or frolicking, they stayed near their homes to train their children. Shank and Krit were also assholes that worshipped Darwo the Evil openly. People frowned on that kind of thing. It made prayers for them not be heartfelt when they were made. Because of the very dire situation, everyone in the valley pitched in. I personally went to all the towns to make the case. Lin and scraps of food wound up in the offering boxes. They were very helpful in sustaining us. It was only fair when we were the only ones putting our lives on the line. They got to stay safe in their towns. Ace and Deuce were doing much better.

In the afternoon, I was told that the party from the Adventurer's Guild I sent out had returned. The guild sent a messenger to come get me. I had to go there right away if I could. It would settle all my problems if they found clerics actually able to banish these spirits and keep the valley from getting more hostile visitors. When I got there, I looked for them. I did not see them off, so I did not know who took on the mission. Going to the receptionist, I was led to a table in the back. 6 adventurers were sitting there. I was introduced to the one by one. "These are the adventurers that were sent out on your commissioned quest." she said t me with a nervous smile. "Pleasure to meet you guys." I said. The 6 did not look all that happy about coming back here. That made my mood drop. "You weren't able to find any strong clerics?" I asked. I was told 2 things. The valley was sanctioned because of all the adventurers that we killed back in the villages era. There was also a strict blockade blocking the major pass to get to and from the western mountain range. No help was coming here.
