He looked at me with sparkles in his eyes. "Really? When can we go!?" he asked. I shrugged my shoulders. Frankly, the sooner or later. "How about now? My kids want to join the Adventurer's Guild." He just shook his head. My concern would be focused on going, so this was a setback. I asked him why that was. The answer was really simple. Due to Xavier being human, he declined. He was going to need to pack all of his things and make his arrangements for the journey. It also was necessary for him to talk to his parents. On one hand, he was close to them and wanted their permission to go. On the other hand, he wanted to show them what he had learned and finally be praised. I could understand that. "Well, the Adventurer's Guild has a very close relationship with the Mage's Guild. As soon as you join the Mage's Guild, you can then apply and instantly get your full memberships to the Adventurer's Guild." he said calmly. He was trying to hide how excited he was. "In a week, the 5 of us can go." He left us and I was left with my 3 kids in this club. The incubi were all very curious.
Now that they were able to see the once sequestered children they were largely underwhelmed. They were all hybrids. It was something that they did not like. They also were not evil. As just an incarnation of elemental energy, I was not surprised that they were unaligned. I was an incubus. That was a lawful evil creature. Being honest, it was good that this happened. I was happy that they inherited my lawful nature rather than evil. Concepts of good and evil did not interest them at all. They only wanted to be warriors because the greater water elemental was their primary care giver in the house. He was a really great guy. Discipline, courage and honor were great concepts to have instilled into you. Ocean, River and Lake all could be the great champions for good. They all also could be amazing minions of great fiends. Grulilan, Zaranarax and Vohrear poked and prodded at them. Ocean, River and Lake clearly did not like it, but they looked at me to see what was going on. "The offspring are weak." Grulilan scoffed. Zaranarax added "We'll toughen them up." Vohrear nodded along.
Usually I would simply shoo them away, but these were members of my main squad. I decided to throw them a bone. "Oh yeah. What did you guys have in mind!? If we'll be able to get it done today, we can try it." I said. They all looked happy they were being listened to. We went out on the streets. They led us to the warehouse district. At some point, we were in combat. Just wantonly fighting demons that we encountered was kind of fun. Ocean, River and Lake were doing what they could, but they were not effective. All they did was scratch with their claws. I was strong enough that I could take them all out on my own. We were a menace to the demons. I made sure that my children were safe. When they looked tired and at their limits, I decided to call it. We then went to a movie. Everyone had a great time. All the guys at the clubs could deal without us. Grulilan, Zaranarax and Vohrear decided to go off on their own and pick women to feed off of. Truly, they were the true masters of the night. Chads, each and every single one. I trusted that they would be able to handle themselves.
