My damage was too much. I had to back up to avoid killing him. Not wanting to die here, he yielded. I was not going to let the past make me treat him badly. Letting him up, I said "I won. You're going to take me with you." He did have to listen to me. It was part of being an honorable warrior. "There is no way that I would do that. Let them go already." he spat. I rolled my eyes. "You don't have the right to say that as a warrior that was spared. I defeated you. I let you live. Unless you want me to take your ass again as a prize, do what I say. This time your water elemental buddy will be able to see it." That made his eyes widen. Above all, he did not want to disgrace himself in that way. If it was done in front of the greater water elemental, it would be even worse for him. "Fine. You can come along." he hissed. That was what I wanted. This would be very interesting. Returning to everyone, I went to see the air elementals were okay. "I won. Let's go." I said. The greater water elemental laughed at the greater fire elemental. Pulling out a tuning fork, he knocked it on the pew. The tone rang out.
Energy swirled all around us. A portal began to pool in front of the greater water elemental. I was not able to look through it. "Looks like it is ready. Let's go before we get any more whining." he said. There was a funny look on the greater fire elemental's face when he heard that. It was a clear dig at him. I was not going to complain when an enemy was being mocked. I looked at my party and said "Let's see what this plane is all about." They all got up and followed me through. There was a lot of wind in the area. The air was clean and crisp. A taste I could only vaguely remember was at the back of my head. Things were very shiny here. It was like a large tract of land. If it was this pretty all over, maybe I would want to conquer here. It looked a lot better than Avernus did. Comparing the 2 was like a bad joke. There were a lot of creatures flying around leisurely. Looking up, I could see structures floating in the sky. The greater fire elemental and the greater water elemental pointed to the palace in the sky. I was pretty excited. "Our job is to take them there." the greater water elemental said.
Flying there was so easy. The air elementals could float. The incubi had wings. The greater fire elemental used his fists as rockets and shot up into the sky. The greater water elemental did the same. The plane itself was made for it. As long as you could get in the air, the plane would ensure that you were able to stay in the air for as long as you wanted. The palace was still very far away. It took nearly half an hour before we got to the clouds on which the palace was built. Standing on the white cloud was possible, although it was terribly bouncy. I was thankful for the ability to give my wings a rest. We made our way to the front door and knocked. It only took a few seconds before the large metal doors opened. Several lesser air elementals could be seen milling about. No doubt, they were doing some menial labor and other chores. The doorkeepers were air elementals. The looked just like Kyle and Myles did when I first summoned them. For their part, Kyle and Myles both seemed happy to be here. The doorkeepers, on the other hand, gave skeptical looks. "What business do you have?"
